Hi everyone, hoping I’m posting this in the right place! It’s going to be a bit long so bear with me here.

I’ve had 3 positive pregnancy tests over the last 3 days, gradually getting darker (see attached).

I am over the moon, but also terrified. Here’s why:

  • 1st child born 2018. Took 5 months to conceive. Pregnancy was an absolute breeze and birth was straightforward
  • started ttc again in 2019. Nov 2019 I fell pregnant but miscarried at 6 weeks.
  • by Oct 2020 we still hadn’t conceived so saw my GP and after scans and blood tests I was diagnosed with PCOS and referred for Clomid treatment.
  • fell pregnant again Jan 2021. Miscarried at 8 weeks.
  • spoke to fertility consultant March 2021. Prescribed metformin and advised to take inositol, folic acid and vit d. Advised that Clomid monitoring had been suspended due to Covid (however got my letter a couple of weeks ago to say that this has started again now and to get in touch on the 1st day of my next period).

So who should I speak to about these positive tests? I kind of want it to be logged so that if I miscarry again it’s recorded and I might get some further investigations.

Should I ring my GP? Should I ring my fertility consultant? Both? Do you think I might get offered early scans/monitoring?
So scared it’s going to be 3 miscarriages in row 😔

Who do I speak to?

If there is Early Pregnancy unit (EPU) in your hispital, that would be the best place to go to in early weeks!

I am sorry for your losses and hope all goes well this time around!

Thanks for replying. There is an EPU at my local hospital as I saw them when I had my miscarriages. I’m not sure if I can self refer though. I’ll do some investigating! 🙂

@FrogsHiccups sorry for your losses. Do an early bird referral for your local area/ midwives and EPU could advise too x good luck 🤞🏼

I would call your family doctor. I had to do that and she then referred me to an early pregnancy unit in the nearby hospital.
If you have someone that is treating you for fertility, I would also let them know.
