Bfn, then AF, then bfp, then bfn!

I posted this in Pregnancy but didn't get any response so thought maybe it was better here.

I was testing everyday up until AF showed, all bfn. The first sign it was starting was when I passed a big lump of clear jelly, (sorry tmi), which I have never had happen before. Started spotting, was slow to start, the first night after the spotting I got up in the morning to no blood but by that night CD2, it was starting to flow. CD3 was heavy with cramps. Tested that day, bfn. CD4 was lighter. Tested that day, bfn. CD5 was spotting. The reason I was testing while on my period was because of passing the jelly stuff and also because my boobs continued to be sore which was strange for me, they normally stop hurting as soon as af starts flowing.

It's not unusual for me to ovulate early so on CD5 I did an opk. Was very positive. Thought it was a little strange to be so positive so early so did a pregnancy test. Bfp! Did another one. Bfp! Both IC, different brands. Couldn't believe it but was really confused. Anyway, tested again last night (which is the same day), bfn, and twice today bfn! Thing is ,my boobs are still sore, in fact they were sorer this morning than yesterday and I had cramps this afternoon. AF has pretty much stopped and opk is still very positive.

Has anything like this happened to anyone?

Was I pregnant? And if so, why only test positive at the end of AF? Could I still be pregnant? Am I about to ovulate? I know no one can actually answer these questions, I'm just so confused and upset about not actually knowing what's going on and hoped others experiences might shed some light.

Possibly just a heavy implantation bleed which is why it didn't appear positive until the end, and the the last 2 bfns might just because you tested late in the day. Try again with first morning wee.

Sorry hun, I don't think we can really help you here. As @Praxis wrote it's possible that it was a heavy implantation bleed, that's why it's still early to get a nice BFP if you don't test with your FMU.
It could also be that you're exepriencing a chemical.
False positives are very rare, so whatever it is, you have or had hcg. Unfortunately there is not much you can do but wait. Test again in a couple of days, or if you can, maybe see a GP and do a blood test.

Thanks for replying ladies.

Tested with fmu, bfn, so went out and bought a frer today as my boobs were really sore this morning, and that was bfn too. Not sure what happened but I'm assuming I'm not pregnant.
