DTD 2 days before ovulation

I have recently come off the pill after 10 years and so don't have a clue what my cycle is but did have what I think was my first proper period 2 weeks ago.

We DTD Friday night and I got a dark line on an opk yesterday (Sat morning) and then a really dark line this morning (Sunday). Husband is at work all weekend so we haven't been able to DTD. So it's been nearly 48 hours. I've felt some twinges etc on my left side which I think could indicate ovulation. Am I out this month?

You DTD 2 days before ovulation? Sperm can survive up to 5 days, so you should be covered ;) after all it just takes one sperm, right? If you follow the SMEP (Sperm meets egg plan) it's also good to DTD a day after ovulation, and even an additional day after that. Reason for that: when you got a peak, it can take 48h until ovulation happens. And the egg will live for 12h. So there's a 2.5 day window, possibly even longer. You're not out.
