@sabtom sorry to hear you haven’t been well - hope you’re better soon! And throwing up avocados isn’t the worst thing - just be glad it isn’t carrots… oh wait! Lol

@October1979 I’m the same. I know I can get pregnant just not if I can get pregnant with a sticky one so will keep going until I know either way. Let’s hope yours is an ultra sticky one!

Also, after some guidance on opks. Is it possible to ovulate 5 days after peak as been having pulling sensation on and off over last 12 hours or so and feels like it’s in my ovary… I’m assuming it’s ovulation and I’ve missed my peak as we had Sunday off DTD thinking we’d passed peak lol

Catconfusion · 12/07/2021 10:38

@sabtom meant to say I hope you feel better soon xx

@Mum2baby07 I’d be surprised if O happened so far after a peak opk. Are you temping? Have you done another opk to see if it’s another peak. Sometimes the first one doesn’t quite work so your body will go again. Also when the follicle ruptures to release the egg, your ovary can develops what’s called a luteal cyst. These can get quite big and cause a bit of pain but usually go away on there own. So it could be something like that. I tend to get a bit of pain and pressure during my tww which I think in my case is hormonal. Xx

sabtom · 12/07/2021 11:01

Thank you @Catconfusion @Mum2baby07 Apart from the lack of smell I'm more or less back to normal. However, I feel I'm getting a few waves of nausea, which tend to happen when I get pangs of hunger 🤔 and feeling quite emotional and sorry for the England players this even though I don't even like football or even watch the match lol

Mum2baby07 · 12/07/2021 11:40

@Catconfusion thanks for reply. Yes I should have said I repeated opk this morning and as low as low can be so it confused me even more! Perhaps it is a cyst and should self resolve as you say. It doesn’t hurt luckily it’s just like someone is pulling me inside so it’s more than bearable. I just wondered what it was but the cyst seems most plausible - thanks!

Mum2baby07 · 12/07/2021 11:42

@sabtom I don’t think you can blame covid for yourself nausea - sounds like that’s baby all the way! Lovely news! And even more reason not to get hungry…. I’m still eating for two even though I’m no longer pg …. Oopsey!

Catconfusion · 12/07/2021 12:04

@sabtom aww bless you. Definitely sounds like baby is giving you some nausea. It’s so exciting! Xx

Catconfusion · 12/07/2021 12:07

@Mum2baby07 if opk low then definitely sounds like cyst or just hormonal. If your cycle is regular, o likely happened. Hopefully you’ll get some good news soon. I’ve found the cycles where I got more sensations in my tummy, I tend to get a positive test. Fingers crossed for you! Xx

Slightly worried this morning I've been feeling quite crampy the last couple of days and I feel less sensitive in my boobs too. I feel the early signs I had are fading. Did a test this morning which shows progress but just have an awful feeling that this is not a good sign 😢

@October1979 the test line is darker than the control line, that's what mine looked like.

October1979 · 12/07/2021 12:29

I more worried about the loss of symptoms. How have your symptoms been @sabtom . I feel my breast tenderness is less xx

OP posts:
sabtom · 12/07/2021 12:46

@October1979 I didn't really have any symptoms, my nipples were slightly tender to start with but the past few days they feel normal. Lack of symptoms did worry me at first but I've heard of more women go on to have healthy pregnancies that have had no symptoms at all. I even asked the midwife about this and she reassured me lack of or disappearing symptoms are nothing to worry about. I know it's hard not to worry but hopefully that puts your mind at ease. Remind me how many weeks you are?

October1979 · 12/07/2021 12:47

@sabtom I'm 5+3 weeks

@October1979 Will you be going for an early scan? I know that helped me, seeing a heartbeat at 6 weeks. This first trimester is the worst isn't it?! The worries are just unbearable Thanks

Honey2 · 12/07/2021 13:18

@October1979 could you ask your dr if they would consider doing bloods for beta hcg levels? If all is well (which hopefully it is) levels would be doubling every 48-72 hrs.

October1979 · 12/07/2021 13:26

@sabtom yes I will go for early scan but was hoping to wait till 7 weeks. I don't want there not to be a heartbeat then have to wait another week worrying. Just in case it was slightly too early. @Honey2 my doctor is hopeless and refers me to epu for any pregnancy related questions. I think I will have to wait this one out. I'm feel as if I'm almost looking for negatives and for this to end because of the MMC and the 3 chemicals. It's hard to stay positive as it's never worked out before. I feel that if I get past 7 weeks with normal looking scans it will be a milestone for me. Especially as my scan with MMC was small although had a heartbeat at 7 weeks they were concerned it wouldn't process which it didn't xxx

@October1979 hang on in there. I know it’s incredibly tough. I had hyperemesis with ds so was vomiting every day but on the odd morning when I wasn’t sick, I panicked. Symptoms do come and go in early pregnancy. It’s terrifying but you got your 3 plus test and no reason to think this one won’t progress. Today you are pregnant! I would reach out to your epu if your doctor has sent you that way. I know you’re worried about not seeing a heartbeat but maybe at this point just seeing the pregnancy sac and knowing it’s in the right place might help your mental health. Or maybe they could do some beta tests to reassure you. I’ve got everything crossed the next week goes quickly so you can get the reassurance you need. Xx

October1979 · 12/07/2021 15:14

Thank you @Catconfusion @sabtom @Honey2 you're kind words and rational thoughts are all helping me so much xx

Honey2 · 12/07/2021 16:13

@October1979 it’s really horrid these first weeks. I agree with @Catconfusion just need to hang on in there and the 3+ Test at 5weeks +2 is a good sign. Thinking about it it may be too late for beta bloods any way as I think the doubling slows as you get closer to 6 weeks. Keep everything crossed and double crossed for you. It’s about time you had a sticky one.

Catconfusion · 12/07/2021 18:23

@October1979 you are so close to being able to have a scan. Keep as busy as you can and try not to let the worry get the better of you. I know it’s easier said than done. So much is riding on this but there is nothing more you can do now but rest, look after yourself and hope for the best. I used to meditate and try and visualise a healthy baby with a heartbeat. It might sound a bit woo but it helped me to relax a bit. Symptoms don’t really tell you much. With my mmc I was full on vomiting for four weeks after we’d lost the baby. Strong symptoms can be bad news and no symptoms can be good news 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’ve got a really good feeling about this pregnancy. Xx

October1979 · 12/07/2021 23:02

Thanks @Catconfusion I will keep busy and try
Not to think about things for a while xx

@Catconfusion you have such wise words! Remind me what you do as a job again as you should totally be in some kind of counselling profession if you are not! 😊

Marvellouslymadmum · 13/07/2021 09:02

@Lastyearttc I believe that's a good report my oh's as results weren't as good and he was told they're absolutely normal
I'm 42 never felt old until all this ttc lark - makes you feel ancient!
@Honey2 I really hope this is your sticky bean, have you spoken to the go about why they're not sticking?
@October1979 try not to worry pregnancy symptoms definitely come and go and there's a point where you get used to the hormones so you don't feel the same, I. On a thread with three other ladies that are pg and their symptoms all come and go all the time!

Lastyearttc · 13/07/2021 09:10

@Marvellouslymadmum thanks for looking at them. I have my consultation call on Friday now all my results are done... let's see what she says!

Also, when is the earliest anyone has had a positive on a fermometer preg test...? Not used them before

birdbybird · 13/07/2021 10:23

@October1979 I didn’t get proper symptoms until 6 weeks and threw up for the first time at 7 weeks. I wish I’d enjoyed my symptom free period more :)

I will be fretting when I do get a BFP. Probably a scan every week!

birdbybird · 13/07/2021 10:24

Is anyone else in the 2 week wait? I’m 7 or 8 dpo.
