Clear blue weeks tests

Hi all,

I know everyone’s hcg levels are different, I know I shouldn’t use test progression as a guide to preg viability.... I know all that but still here I am at 5+3 with my clear blue weeks still saying 2-3.

Just wondering if there is anyone that had a positive outcome when a clear blue was still saying 2-3 this late on...

Unfortunately I don’t hold out much hope, I’m 41 and I lost a pregnancy in March also at 5 weeks (never got past the yolk sac) ☹️

Sorry for your loss ❤️

Clear blue does it from conception so approx ovulation so if you ovulated at cd 14 that would 1 week after ovulation (3 weeks pregnant would be 1 week)

So take 2 weeks off so 2 weeks off 5 weeks is 3 weeks according to cb

The thresholds for it are quite high there a really good table if you Google hcg levels that shows how different it can be for each person so I'd try not to worry it's likely everything is fine :)

@firsttimemummy321 thanks for replying, I understand the whole -2weeks things but at 5weeks 3 days you’d think it should be reading 3+ ☹️

Sounds like it's only off by 3 days? and that's if your ovulation date is spot on. It's just a CB - it won't be that perfect in its readings plus everyones HCG rises at slightly different rates.

I've seen ladies on here who never progressed to 3+ even though the pregnancy was still going well!

It depends on a few things really like if you are sure when you ovulated? I got 3+ at 5+0 but I had twins and was certain with dates as it was IVF so I wouldn't necessarily count yourself out just yet

(Probably a really bad bit of advice but I used to take the tests apart to see how "far" away I was from getting 3+ as to reach it all 3 lines on the 2 test strips need to be super dark)

@andivfmakes3 thanks for that - I’ll have a look xx
