Frustrating Limbo

Currently AF is 5 days late/18 DPO and getting BFNs.

Healthy discharge, light cramps and sore boobs. I was dizzy at work around a week ago but otherwise no symptoms of either Pregnancy or AF.

Normally a pretty good, reliable cycle.

Ugh sorry @Natt08 that sucks! Do you track your ovulation?

@Bundaberg84 mostly yes, I haven't this month due to just trying to not be so obsessed. The apps I use have filled it in for me as a average cycle which is where I got the DPO from. AF is usually on point or one day out, not normally 5 :(

@Natt08 I'm in the exact same boat. Down to dates... 18DPO and 5 days late.

I've got the odd pregnancy symptom but really trying not to overthink them as the realistic side of me is thinking a BFN must mean i'm deffo not pregnant.

But I can't help reading up on here and google about so many people not getting a BFP until they're a full week or 2 late. And as crazy as it sounds i feel totally different this month. At 12dpo i was convinced i was going to get a BFP, and tested the day before AF and got a BFN and i thought i'm deffo out then, as it was a FRER. But now this.. and no AF.

Feel free to rant away as i've spent the past week frantically on google and here and it's drained every ounce of energy i have, i feel your pain!

I also had peak OPK using clear blue advance digi ones on CD17, which is even more frustrating!!

I tend to overthink most things and especially when it comes to TTC. This kinda took me by surprise as I've been trying to just get on with life but I can't help it now 😂

@Natt08 - same! I've been a nightmare since we started TTC in December last year! And it's just absolutely consumed me. I've fallen behind on work and all sorts as i cant stop overthinking it all, especially in the TWW lol.

I've got about another 6 tests today, but i got another FRER to try. I'm tempted to test this afternoon, but can't face another BFN!!

Oh really? Where abouts? I assumed my GP wouldn't want to know as this is my first cycle that this has happened and i read somewhere they only speak to you if you go past CD45!

Search SELFCheck Blood Test. I've just ordered 2, I'll let you know how I get on and knowing my luck AF will arrive on the same day!

Yeah, I tried FR and CB yesterday and not even a questionable evap line, so tried with FMU this morning, again absolutely nothing so Im out for a few days until these arrive or AF does!

@Natt08 the reason why I asked if you track your ovulation is because you don't really know if you're overdue if you don't know if you ovulated on time or late this month if that makes sense? So yes, you're overdue if you calculate with a regular cycle, but you aren't overdue if you ovulated a week later than usual.

Exactly and I understand that.
I'm probably that unlucky to not track it this once and it be the one irregular pattern I have 😂

My last test i did was on Tuesday, and it was stark white! Although after reading on here constantly i think i'll be doubtful even if it was a BFP at this rate lol.

If i ovulated a week late, then that would put me at around 13/14DPO. As i got my peak on the Thursday, but i'm not 100% sure how long after the peak you actually ovulate as it can be between 12-48hrs i think!

Nope me either. I did a FRER yesterday afternoon after a 4hour hold and a stark white bfn. So I know I’m deffo not pregnant. Just a horrible waiting game for AF, but I’m worried that she’s still not shown up. CD39 today 😫

@Natt08 I caved and tested yesterday evening (really stupid) and got a BFN. Now I'm just frustrated, mainly at myself :)

When the blood tests arrive that's my next step if that's negative then I'm going to call Drs and ask their advise.

Just jumping on here if you don't mind! Two months ago, my AF was 22 days late and I am never late (other than my first pregnancy) and I was getting BFN's constantly. Anyway, I got a blood test through the doctors and on the day of my results, AF came!!

As hard as it sounds try and not think about it! Distract your mind, get some activities planned, keep calm and enjoy yourself... AF will either come or you are in fact pregnant OR you may have just missed this month.

I am a sucker for testing but if can build some strength to not worry, you should get some answers. Sending hugs xx

@Natt08 @Ida121 - this may not be relevant to you both but have you had a Covid vaccine during this cycle? My AF was late last month for the first time in 27 years and it coincided with having my 1st vaccine.

@babyboybluex thanks for the advice! I think I’m just worried about what’s going on with my body with the lack of AF, If that makes sense? I’ll just relax when AF arrives as it’s the nothing happening at all that’s getting to me!
I know I must be out as a FRER didn’t even show a faint line, it was stark white!

@CamillaEsther I’ve read about this on other threads! But nope I haven’t had a vaccine!

My confusion is, if we skip a cycle all together, do you just go straight to the next ovulation?! I’m confused as to what to do as now I have no idea

AF Arrived along with Heartbreak and Blood Tests 😩 So I've not wasted my time with them but they look pretty good!
