Supplements and cervical mucus

If you don't want to read about my cervical mucus, don't read on 😄

I normally get what I imagine is a normal amount of cervical mucus for a good 5 days of each cycle, peaking around what I guess to be ovulation, based on other symptoms.

Last cycle I started taking a prenatal, omega 3, 6 and 9 supplement and coenzymeq10 for egg health. My diet has always been ok but I have really cut down on any processed or sugary foods and have been really increasing whole, plant based products into my diet. I've been exercising more, cut my caffeine consumption literally in half and have continued my habit of guzzling water by the bucket loads. I don't drink or smoke.

Am now mid cycle and my cm is pathetic. It's there, but in a much lower quantity than before. I'm taking a break from ttc this cycle but am still keenly observing what's going on. I didnt take the supplements for cm improvement but am a bit 🤔 as to why this is happening, on a hormonal level.

Has this happened to anyone or is there a reason for it? I don't want to inadvertently have a bad effect on my fertility.

Yes I noticed this this month - less cm. Normally get ewcm for five days. I've also been on the ubiquinol and upped all of my vitamins for this month, adding in extra iron and antioxidants. Also cut the coffee down to one cup.

I don't know what the answer is, I plan to keep up the vitamins, and was drinking the grapefruit juice for cm which normally works but didn't this time. Hopefully it'll come back, but funny that its happened to both of us. Maybe our bodies like sugar and coffee, and booze, and don't care for whole foods and vitamins!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 that is nuts! What's that all about? I really thought that I would start turning into a fertile myrtle this cycle, but doesnt look like it! Typical!

Haha well I still haven't given up that it might work! Lots of women have less cm and get pregnant - so fingers crossed for us!

Hope all goes well for you!

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 weirdest thing...normally I get ovulation pains and can feel the egg screeching along like a lorry trying to brake on the motorway. Have had no pains or anything like that and just did an opk and it is super positive! No pain and didn't see any ewcm this morning at all. How odd. Think I preferred things pre healthy lifestyle!

I think I saw EWCM once when TTC and none at all on the month I got pregnant! I wouldn't worry about it OP.

Same happened to me, I normally have a four day build up to ovulation (4 days of flashing smileys before solid), but since starting the vitamins it's only two days 🙄

Update...I'm pregnant!
