TTC #1 - Fitbit RHR Spike

Hi everyone. I’m currently 4 months ttc and I’ve been monitoring my heart rate quite closely throughout. I’ve been doing this as well as tracking CM and using OPKs.

Well today I woke up and checked my RHR as I usually do and the spike I’ve had is nothing like I’ve seen before!

I can't figure out how to add photos on here (old forum style confusing). So you'll have to make do with this:

It's not unusual for my heart-rate to reach 70bpm but it is unusual for it to do it so suddenly without a gradual climb. Usually when I reach 70bpm it's before ovulation and before my period but only after a few days lingering between 68 and 69bpm.

Anyone else got any fitbit rhr wisdom to share?

From tracking this last month (got my BFP 26th April) I got a rise when I ovulated and then a dip, and then it just kept rising and rising. So much so I've now taken it off because it was actually worrying me I never seemed relaxed anymore lol! My usual RHR before was around 53 and it got to 67 before I took it off 😬

I'm trying to add pics but it's not working for some reason!

Where are you in your cycle? I'd only get excited about a spike if it was right before AF was due/second half of TWW.

MissGee97 · 24/05/2021 11:34

According to the GLOW app and my OPKs I ovulated last Sunday, expected period a week today :)

Also might be worth noting, I've had extremely (TMI) wet underwear (TMI) for about a week now which is unlike me, I've had to change my underwear and put on panty liners several times this past week. I normally ovulate and then I'm quite dry until a few days before my period (3/4 days usually) where I will then get creamy CM til first day of period. So it's very unlike me to get CM that's so liquidy and so high in amount that it soaks through to my underwear.

Other than that just typical 2WW symptoms that I get every cycle (been a massive sensitive sally over the weekend though. taking literally everything to heart lol).

Not gonna lie, that looks very promising to me!

MissGee97 · 01/06/2021 09:24

Just to update my RHR went as high as 73 on 26/06/2021

Then it went as follows:

70 BPM 27/06/21
70 BPM 28/06/21
69 BPM 29/06/21
72 BPM 30/06/21
70 BPM 31/06/21
71 BPM 01/06/21

I'm now 1 day late for my period.

Still haven't gotten my period yet.

Yesterday 72bpm
Today 71bpm

Milky white discharge, almost creamy in consistency. Achy boobs as well.

Going to test on Monday.

You’re very restrained, waiting until Monday to POAS! Good luck!

MissGee97 · 08/06/2021 15:01

Fresh update for y’all.

I got a BFN on Monday, I’m now 8 days late. My heart rate is bouncing between 73bpm and 71bpm.

CD45, watery CM, boobs are quite tender to touch.

Considering ringing doctors tomorrow and requesting a blood test if AF doesn’t show

Sounds like you may have just ovulated late this cycle :/ did you have the jab or anything?

MissGee97 · 09/06/2021 05:59

No jabs here yet as I’m in my early 20s. I’m on CD46 today, looking back at pictures of my OPKs I’d say I definitely got a peak test on the 16th but obviously that doesn’t guarantee that I actually ovulated; we were pretty “active” last month so hoping that I managed to get it still. 😁

Period still not here so going to ring the doctors at 8 to arrange a blood test

Useless me, I completely forgot about this thread so I’m coming in with an update.

I was not pregnant last May, and I ended up finding out I have PCOS.

I was told I would not be able to naturally conceive, however, I have done so! I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant.

The reality of finding out I was pregnant? I had no symptoms whatsoever and my fitbit heart tracker looked the same as ever. I just did a test since it was my last available one in my medicine cabinet!

I had an early scan this last weekend privately and got to see my little bean.
