Hey everyone, has anyone ever had a positive on a cb but negative on a frer? I always thought frer were more sensitive. I didn't track anything this month or even do any opks but from my own judgement I reckon I'm prob 11 or 12 dpo. Had spotting at beginning of this week which is now mostly gone. These are two cb tests done today and line showed up quickly for each. Anyone experienced this?

Congratulations!!

I read some girls were saying how lately frers were not very reliable or sensitive.

Personally, I've been using easy@home pregnancy strips and they are reliable so far. Got my BFP at 8dpo this month

Does the top one have any colour at all in person because I think it might be an evap line. The bottom looks like a faulty test. When I used mine it was a solid line. Sorry but I could be wrong and someone else who knows more might disagree.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 20/05/2021 18:55

Were they all done with the same urine? (The two clearblue and FRER)? The second clearblue does look a bit suspect.

Fifi1086 · 20/05/2021 18:59

The second one was the first I took so the smudge on the left I think is because it was a few hours old, the line itself didn't change though. The top one was about 10 mins before I took the pic and it's blue but doesn't look it in the pic! I took the frer with different urine. My head is wrecked with it now as I never get lines on CB

I had this on Sunday, and I'm definitely pregnant! I've never trusted frer! I then used an early clear blue digital and got a bfp

IDontDrinkTea · 20/05/2021 19:01

Sorry OP, they look like evap lines to me. Could you try testing again in 48 hours?

TheDaydreamBelievers · 20/05/2021 19:06

I'd wait 48hrs, save a pot of first morning urine, and check with a FRER and a clearblue. You'll have a correct answer then

Catmum55566 · 20/05/2021 19:46

Ah I hope this is your BFP @Fifi1086! I have had this before....I even got a positive digi when my FRER was negative. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Fifi1086 · 20/05/2021 19:54

Thanks everyone xx I have a few tests left so I'll wait til the weekend and test again if I don't bleed between now and then! I've been having some spotting but at this point I would normally be crippled with very heavy bleeding

This happened with my first pregnancy! For some reason it didn't want to show on a frer but got a positive on clear blue.
One of those looks over saturated and void because of it but the thin line one looks positive I've seen others the same

I had thin lines like the bottom a couple of cycles ago and they were Evaps. Not sure about the top but I have everything crossed for you❤️❤️❤️

I know people are bashing FRERs on here but seriously CB is renowned for false positives due to dye run. I wouldn't trust a blue dye test at all.
