Shift work and ttc - when to test?

I do a very varied shift pattern and I know it makes it difficult ttc due to not seeing DH as often or as routinely. Does anyone have any clue as to when is best to test for ovulation when on nightshift for example as would my afternoon pee be classed as a morning pee? I know my tests say it should be roughly between 11-4pm but a lot of the days I'm not able to do that. Also I have ruled out BBT due to constant change of shifts and sleeping patterns but is there a way I could still do it? Any advice in regards to ttc during shift work is welcomed!

Personally testing didn't work for me because I have a brain like a sieve on nights and kept forgetting so we just had lots of sex when we did see each other. But yes just test with the first pee after you wake up. I used the clear blue machine thingy, got one from eBay for like £20 instead of £80 and set it up so that I could vary the times as and when but then I just forgot and would be sat on the loo thinking wtf is that noise as it beeps when it's time to test and then be like oh ffs!!!

Haha! I will not be getting that! It's sad that bbt testing is one of the best to do and I can't do it because of work!
