@purpleskyssssss Hey, just noticed the point you made about your Luteal phase. I got my BFP (second baby) a couple of weeks ago after having fairly short cycles and short Luteal phases. Been tracking my cycles since December/Jan and this is how they went:
29 days
22 days
22 days
25 days

Just wanted to let you know as your Luteal phase sounds pretty good. They usually say anything in double figures is fine.. mine on my 22 day cycles was as short at 8/9 days. Then I had a slightly longer cycle but can't say how many days Luteal phase was as I'd stopped tracking ovulation.
I actually called my GP about it a couple of months ago as I was feeling a little concerned. He dismissed it as he said there's no medical proof that the Luteal phase has an impact on conceiving.. it's more about the follicular phase which needs to be a decent length so that eggs which are released are mature enough. Just wanted to let you know my experience and to say I really wouldn't worry about LP. It's very early days for me, I'm roughly 5+5 so very early days (🤞🏻) but just wanted to say that it can and does happen xx

Hey ladies. Congrats on the BFPs and good luck to those waiting:)

I think I'm 4dpo today. I'm due to go out for drinks on Saturday so I'll only be 6dpo so too early to test... we haven't told anyone that we are ttc and so far I've been able to avoid social drinking so far but this is month 5 of trying and I don't want to raise suspicion by not drinking for it to end up being another unsuccessful month but also don't want to cause any damage by drinking alcohol if it is a risk. Is it best to Steer clear of the booze completely or just take it steady? Maybe alternate between an alcoholic and soft drink or am I best just make an excuse up to not drink at all and hope I don't get sussed? 🤔 I don't want want to ruin my chances by having a drink so if there is any chance of it being a risk I won't drink at all but unsure if it would make any difference at 6dpo?

@K8Tee it's a totally personal decision. Some doctors say it's fine as until week 6 or so the baby will not get any nutritions from you. They recommend not to drink more than 10 drinks in a week, 2 a day. So many women don't know they are pregnant until after AF was due.
I stayed away from alcohol for the first two cycles, but putting my life on hold without knowing how long this journey is going to take stressed me out even more. So I drink occasionally a glass of wine in the 2WW but stop at 12dpo or so (unless I would test positive of course).
I am seeing friends tomorrow and I just wrote them I have cystitis and shouldn't drink. It sounds bettee than the old antibiotics excuse I think ;)

Ah that’s a shame @Twochews78 but I reckon you and @Ttcbn2 will only have to go another day and hopefully you will both be seeing your BFPs xx
@Sunshine8888 I’m about 3 dpo I think, so at the beginning of the TWW think my AF is due about 27th May, I’m hoping it comes later (if not at all) as I would appear to have a really short luteal phase this month which I hadn’t noticed before all this tracking!xx

@K8Tee I had just flown back from Vegas when I found out I was 6/7 weeks pregnant with DC1. Let’s just say I did not take it easy... 🥴😂 he was born perfect 9lbs and is now a wild 4yo!

Hey @Sunshine8888 so I’m 38 TTC baby #1, decided to try about January, fell pregnant 1st cycle, sadly MC at about 6wks mid March, this is my 2nd cycle back trying and testing with OPKs! So far me and DH are not the best at hitting the peaks!! But I’m learning so much in the process!! How about you?xx

@Sunshine8888 sorry that will teach me to read the thread backwards I have just caught up on your story!! Fingers crossed for us both and please when I get to 7/8 dpo tell me it’s not worth testing! I’m a nightmare, last month I started testing so early!!🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m with bundaberg on drinking but lightly. It’s too hard to not drink for two weeks out of each month, would make ttc that much more miserable!! But once I have a positive that’s it, I don’t wait until placenta etc.

@Willow1982 haha I will try but it’s sooo hard to resist isn’t it! I just try to get through that first morning wee then I tell myself I can’t test until tomorrow at the earliest. Although I did test in the evening with my first and it was clear as day 🙈

@timeisnotaline - yes agree! Definitely stop if I get bfp but I do drink til it’s pink, can’t put my life on hold x

My morning tests were very faint, worse than yesterday but then I remembered with my first pregnancy I had worst tests in the morning 🤦‍♀️ I don't know why 🤷 will try again later

Yes @Ttcbn2 and it’s a bfn too. But we’re still in! I had lots of cramping last night and some this morning. I keep thinking af is coming and then it doesn’t! I also had a dip in my temperature and I think that indicates af is on its way! xx

Okay so I gave in this morning and used a frer I’m 9/10dpo. I can see a vvvfl but unsure if it’s an evap line. Thoughts? 😕

@sylvie1001 veeeeeery faint! Very hard to tell if it's an evap line or not. But 9dpo is still very early. Not even 50% will test positive that early. Give it some time! Fingers crossed for you xx

Went and got a FRER today after dropping DS off at nursery and I think I can safely say it's a BFP!!! Feeling a bit nervous now as had a CP two months ago so not counting my chickens just yet!

@sylvie1001 did it come up within three minutes? If so I would say it's a bfp, mine was exactly like this at 9dpo and I'm now nearly 6 weeks pregnant x
