@JLL1990 (pressed too soon) If you never have spotting, then yes, it could still be implantation. I’d make note of it so if you’re not pregnant and it happens again, you can try to see if there is a pattern. And if you’re pregnant then you have your answer Grin and an amazing surprise to boot Smile

Sophiederuges · 29/05/2021 11:43

Thank you everyone for your kind words. That mmc left me feeling more anxious of course. I think I spend too much time looking for symptoms of lack of symptoms. It has become obsessive actually. I have to be patient but it’s not easy Blush

Sophiederuges · 29/05/2021 11:46

@Sam8582 I have done one more test (normal one, not a FRER or digital) because it was lying there. But I’m refusing to buy anymore. I obsessed over it last. I’d even have a display to show profession: it was consuming me. So now I’ve said no more tests. I think I have a problem with tests Blush It’s like an addiction, I can’t just use them responsibly. Blush

I have one digital (week indicator) left which I keep for Wednesday morning before seeing the consultant.

Is anyone else like that by the way? Addicted to POAS? I’m even like that with my OPK Confused

Sam8582 · 29/05/2021 11:55

@Sophiederuges that sounds like a good idea, it can definitely get all consuming :/ fingers crossed for you for Wednesday but all seems well so far 💕 I am the same, if I have them in, I will use them! Including the opks 🙈 used one while I was on my period for some bizarre reason and really wish I hadn't as it showed a high result so I was super confused - learnt my lesson now haha (I hope!)

Lollipop25 · 29/05/2021 12:15

If there are tests in the house, it's only right to use them😆 I took another digital this morning with FMU and it's still saying 1-2 weeks (3-4weeks) which puts me behind🙈 by app and LMP I should be 5 weeks + 1 or 2 , hoping I just ovulated late or hcg is just lower than it should and will catch up. Always something to worry about.

@Sophiederuges this is definitely new. I guess I’ll give it a couple days and take a test! Thank you so much. Xxx 😊

Sophiederuges · 29/05/2021 12:38

@Lollipop25 Are 3-4 weeks pregnant? Because the week indicator on the clear blue digital in post ovulation weeks. So when the CB test says 1-2 weeks, you are roughly 3-4 weeks pregnant.

Sophiederuges · 29/05/2021 12:39

Argh there’s no editing. My message is littered with typos!
@JLL1990 I’ll keep everything crossed for you!!!

Fiep · 29/05/2021 12:40

It’s so easy to become obsessed with POAS. I am definitely guilty of this. I’m already working out when I can reasonably PO a FRER. 10 days post static smiley? That would probably be 9dpo and this would be Friday. No WAY can I wait 2 weeks although I know I’ll just be anxious from testing too early. Last month I was so preoccupied and it was the same when I TTCed my daughter.

I have worked out that my obsession is more about wanting to have something good in what’s been a shit couple of years, with bereavements and DH mental health issues, and am aware that a double line will not solve these problems. So I’m trying to gain perspective and see my obsession for what it is: escapism. At least this awareness has helped me take a step back from the preoccupation and I am determined not to symptom spot this time- last month I had ALL the (psychosomatic) symptoms so there’s literally no point: no matter how real it feels it’s created by my own desire.

Just my musings- hope it helps someone else.

PS: it’s my birthday!

Ignore my message
@Lollipop25
. I just saw you are 5 weeks. I should pay more attention!

Lollipop25 · 29/05/2021 12:43

@Sophiederuges I should be 3+ not 1-2 🤷🏼‍♀️on a digital as my LMP would indicate that I'm 5 weeks + 2 days not 3/4 weeks pregnant .It's very frustrating.

Happy birthday @Fiep!

This morning I talked to my mum and she told me when she had me and my sister pregnancy tests were too expensive for her. So she’d wait a couple of weeks after a missed period to go to the GP to confirm. I don’t know how she did it Blush

I used BBT and OPK as my escapism. It gives me something to think about. But I had to stop doing it once ovulation was confirmed by my app because otherwise I would analyse every little dip in temps and spend ages recording my symptoms. I definitely feel like my body invented symptoms at times. The power of the mind!

Fiep · 29/05/2021 13:02

@Sophiederuges oh man your mum is patient! I do sometimes think our generation is a bit less good at just accepting things. What do you reckon?

dunkedbiscuit · 29/05/2021 15:19

Happy Birthday @Fiep ! I think what you said makes a lot of sense, I hope it helps you x

Twochews78 · 29/05/2021 15:42

@Fiep happy Birthday!

Very good way to look at it, total escapism at this end too. xx

WantStickyBean · 29/05/2021 18:24

@Sam8582 yes, I take the test then it bluetooth's onto my phone. Not totally sure it's worth the £38 it cost but I was a bit taken in by the "proven to double your chances" advertising!

Fiep · 29/05/2021 21:17

3dpo and decided it’s definitely okay to drink Pina Coladas and Prosecco on my birthday date (friend is babysitting!)
I figured it’s too early for it to matter, even if I were to be pregnant...

Willow1982 · 29/05/2021 21:23

Happy Birthday @Fiep, I like your thinking there, hope your enjoying your day xx

Twochews78 · 30/05/2021 07:29

@Willow1982 how you getting on? xx

Willow1982 · 30/05/2021 07:54

@Twochews78 I am almost certain I’m just having a slightly longer cycle this month, have been taking tests since Thursday all BFN, even my frer arrived yesterday and they are white as a sheet, so sure one of those would have picked something up at this stage, zero symptoms, still just waiting for AF to arrive!! Again still learning about my cycles, guess they are all 28/29 days like I thought!! How are you xx

Willow1982 · 30/05/2021 07:55

Sorry that should read guess they “arnt” all 28/29 days xx

Twochews78 · 30/05/2021 08:05

@Willow1982 you just never know! You’re still not out. I’m hoping the best for you! How did you feel after your vaccine? I get mine on Wednesday, my 43 birthday of all days! I’ve bought some vitamins called Ubiquinol as I’ve heard that they can help with egg quality which can be an issue for older women. They weren’t cheap but I think we’ll stop trying at the end of this year so I kinda need to throw what I can at it now as I wouldn’t go down the ivf route etc. I’m considering so fertility reflexology too which I’ve heard is good and I’ve been doing some fertility yoga from YouTube. xx

Fiep · 30/05/2021 08:38

@Willow1982 I’m sorry; it’s so demoralising with the FRERs when they’re so white. You’re not out til AF arrives though. My cycles have been all over the place too which is stressful in itself! I tried to explain the DH that being able to know your cycles really helps you feel more in control and that having unpredictable cycles is therefore anxiety inducing but I think he found this weird!

Sophiederuges · 30/05/2021 09:32

@Fiep It’s hard for men to understand but for women, a regular, predictable cycle is reassuring. Even when not ttc, it’s reassuring to see you’d body ticking along. Just like good sleep cycles, a good appetite, regular vowel movements.

I hope you enjoyed the drinks! I was 1dpo on my birthday and thought “sod it, I’m drinking”. I had Prosecco, got very dizzy and it felt great Grin
