Am I testing too early?

Hi all,

Thought I'd post here for some advice, had sex while ovulating on the 2nd May.

Period is 2 days late (was due on Saturday) so have taken an Asda cheapie and a first response test but was both negative (admittedly I've been taken them both in the evenings, not sure if that makes any difference?)

What I'm asking is, is am I testing too early?! It has only been 2 weeks since having sex... ah I'm making myself go crazy!

Wise mumsnetters give me some words of wisdomGrin

Thanks

If your period is late then no, it’s not too early to test. You could try first thing in the morning tomorrow and see

Hey @mollibu!

I wouldn’t say I’m a wise mumnetter, however, have been testing since 11DPO and seeing very very very faint positive lines. I did another today at 13DPO and it’s still super light!

AF (period) is due on Wednesday so I’m hoping they get darker by then. Could you do another test with your first wee? This should give you a very accurate reading 3 days after missing your period x

Do you track ovulation? Thing is, that sometimes ovulation is later in the month and the whole cycle is a bit messed up. If your ovulation was on 2nd May then no, you don't test too early.
Did you just start TTC?
