Name changed for this because I'm a little embarrassed Blush

Me and DP have recently started TTC. Without going into too much detail, we are not very athletic (lockdown hasn't helped in that aspect!) and so chilled out foreplay (oral Blush) is quite important for us in the bedroom in the lead up to the baby dance.

I read online yesterday that you should avoid oral when TTC, because the saliva can effect the sperm.

I guess I'm just wondering whether anybody has been able to conceive whilst still incorporating this when they DTD?

I'm sure many thousands of people have! Try not to worry too much about the small details, especially at this early stage.

Just have fun with it & carry on doing what you enjoy. Don't make it a chore.

Thank you @MarshmallowsOnToast Smile

It's very hard not to get a bit obsessed with it! Thought MN would help me get some perspective Smile

There are so many studies stating the wildest things. So yeah maybe in some cases it reduced the chances by 2%, so what? Maybe they ate Tabasco 2 minutes before or used a strong mouthwash ;) don't stress too much. Try to eat healthy, get enough sleep, do some yoga or nice walks outside. That's the best you can do. Good luck on your journey!

It is, I know! I've been there when TTC my baby.

I speak from experience as I made it a big "thing" from the get-go and looking back it wasn't needed and was unnecessary pressure.

Good luck!

Unless he's getting saliva in your vagina all the way up to the cervix, then I think you'll be fine.
