Sainsbury's positive test

Hi all,

I’ve had what looks to me like a faint positive result on a Sainsbury’s test but I've noticed loads of people saying they’re unreliable. I'm getting clear blue digitals to double check later this week but does this look positive to you guys or am I just wishing it to be?

Thanks!

I couldn't add the photo Sad

Hi @Maritar!

Can you attach a photo? I’ve had many lines with Sainsbury’s tests when I’ve not been pregnant. Many ladies replied to my thread saying they are notorious for false positives Sad x

babyboybluex · 17/05/2021 14:00

@Maritar Are you a new user? I think you have to wait 48 hours to attach pictures!

Maritar · 17/05/2021 14:02

@babyboybluex I am a new user. Thank you for letting me know. I'll post the photo tomorrow. Basically I have a strong horizontal line and a faint vertical line showing me a cross, and the faint vertical control line.

@babyboybluex No. I got that the wrong way around. It is a faint horizontal line and a strong vertical line showing me a cross, and the faint vertical control line. I'm not holding out any hope for being pregnant. Will wait to retest with a clear blue test. Sounds like that is the safest thing to do. Thank you very much.

Is it a bit like this?

This is mine from 11DPO and I'm not believing it (yet) x

Sainsbury's positive test

I stopped using sainsburys test. I've had way too many false positives from them.
Mine have been very similar to yours and a little darker. I would wait (I totally get that's easier said than done) and use another brand.

Sorry x

Maritar · 17/05/2021 16:55

@babyboybluex I have those but also have a strong blue vertical line in the circular bit so it's a + instead of a -.

@SareBear87 Yeah, from everything I've read online so far, I think you are right. I will wait and take a test from a different brand.

Good luck though! Let us know the result!
I hate these threads where you don't find out - I'm like "did she get a happy ending!?!" :)

TheVanguardSix · 18/05/2021 09:58

Get a First Response if you can, OP. That's the gold standard. Pink dye won't lie.
I had MANY a disappointment from the Sainsbury's ones. False positives galore. So soul-destroying.

Maritar · 18/05/2021 15:46

@SareBear87 I promise I will let you know as soon as I find out. Getting clear blue digital tests on Thursday! I'm not getting my hopes up but will know soon enough. Very stressful, this!

Maritar · 18/05/2021 15:49

@TheVanguardSix Hmm, might see if I can pick one up on my way home from work. I do sometimes feel like it's never going to happen with my pcos constantly looming! :(

Quick update @SareBear87 Smile Took the clear blue digital test and it came up 3+ weeks pregnant. Took a non digital one as well and it came up pregnant too. I'm now like a deer in headlights and can't quite bring myself to believe it.
