I've had the coil fitted and my period came about 5 days later, I've now been bleeding for 3 weeks. At the start it was heavy, but now it's more so dark blood and brown... but very much still going! My periods before the coil were only 4-6 days.

Will this hell ever end?!

I have a mirina after having a copper coil for years, I hate the bloody thing.

I too bled for the first couple of weeks but then my periods stopped altogether.

However I now have acne and recurrent UTIs. They won’t take it out yet as we are in covid and it’s not considered an emergency. Instead I’m on monthly antibiotics. I hate the damn thing!

I bled lightly most days for a year! Also had major pms, I was a nightmare to live with!

I spotted/had light bleeding daily for 6 months then still hardly monthly week long bleeding so basically a light period.

I'm still bleeding and also have a UTI

I bled on and off for about 5 months.had ultrasounds and numerous gp trips and they just kept saying stick with it it's just settling and then after the 5 months I had a very successful 3 years on it with very occasional spotting and just got it removed recently to start TTC. I hope it settles down in the next week or so for you.
