FRER lighter

Hi there. I had my 5th loss at 6 weeks just over 5 weeks ago. I went to see a specialist who prescribed steroids/clexane/aspirin/progesterone for my next pregnancy. A lot of those meds were to be started from ovulation. I was told to have a period then try again.
About 2 weeks ago we DTD and my partner did not pull out (I had warned him!). On Friday when I woke up I felt dizzy and nauseous, did a cheap test which was positive. I rang the dr who took my bloods for beta hcg.
Since then I’ve been testing with frer. Yesterday I got quite a strong line and I was delighted but this morning it is lighter and I am devastated, even though I told myself from the beginning not to get my hopes up!
I have attached the pics of my tests so far. Any hope at all?

Which one is today's?
I had one that was lighter in morning but darker by afternoon so I think mine are a bit better in afternoon actually

The bottom is today’s, top (Friday) to bottom (today).
I actually tested again with one step with smu after I posted and it’s darker. So now I don’t know what to think!!

Maybe your tests are darker in afternoons like mine were :)
That ones today look nice and dark!

@CherryO88 I know it's easier said than done, but please try not to worry! In January I had a chemical pregnancy, I was testing with an FRER every day and they were getting lighter, but I was also spotting.
This was my 3rd loss in a row.
I then fell pregnant again the next cycle and had super dark positives from the get go, then one morning 16dpo I think, it was considerably lighter and like you I panicked. Had my bloods done and they were doubling as they should, then I stopped testing because it was causing unnecessary stress. I'm now 16 weeks and all is perfect so far. Good luck ☺️.

PS I also started taking aspirin for this pregnancy from ovulation and I honestly think it's made all the difference xxx

@lockdownbabyxci really really hope you’re right but my luck just doesn’t work out that way unfortunately. I didnt know I had ovulated so I didn’t start the meds until I got the bfp and I’ve no idea what dpo I am. I am afraid the damage is already done. It’s just I got quite a strong positive yesterday and then that darkening today has thrown me for a loop! Won’t know the results until Tuesday, going to be a longgggg few days!

@CherryO88 the waiting is awful so I do feel for you. However, Ive just seen the photo of the cheaper strip tests you took and they're really positive! Can clearly see your HCG rising. They say to always use FMU for tests however mine was also stronger in the afternoon, not sure why xx

CherryO88 · 16/05/2021 20:09

@lockdownbabyx the one step tests def look like they’re rising but the frer has really upset me. They’ve always been accurate for me in the past, if they didn’t darken quickly enough etc I knew I was going to Mc and I did.
I have one frer left, I will do it in the morning but I am already SO nervous to do so! I’ll do a cheapie again too. I did another this afternoon after having fluids, and it’s as dark as this mornings. Giving me a glimmer of hope. I hope it’s not thrown in my face again!
All the best with your pregnancy, so glad it worked out for you xx

@CherryO88 i used to test every 2 days as you can't always see much difference day to day. I'd you can hold out I definitely would ☺️. Thank you, good luck with your pregnancy XX
