Hi everyone, would really appreciate some advice as I am tearing my hair out. So in Jan I had a procedure to remove some bad cells from my cervix. after the treatment my cycles were 33 days as normal but last much my cycle was 40 days.

This month I am on day 43 and I have some brown and red 'stuff' when I wipe. Light though. Haha. I have been having pain on one side of my lower abdomen and a heavy feeling. I went to the doctor on day 40 and she said it could be pregnancy and to just wait and see for a week before she does an examination.

I took a OV test today and It was a strong positive.
I took two preg tests and both show a tinnnny faint line but I am worried these are just evap lines.

Does any one have any idea what is going on
Please see my tests (green is OV test) Blue =preg test.

I can't see any photos of tests to look at. It sounds though like there is a good chance it could be pregnancy. The brown blood usually indicates old blood so could be implantation bleed. I also had pain on one side when I got my positive test, when I had early scans they said it was a cyst on that side (which is normal and went away on its own) so she said I would have ovulated from that side.

Ovulation tests can show positive when you're pregnant but obviously aren't that reliable as there is a few reasons they can show positive, however, the fact you've also had positive pregnancy tests is a good sign, regardless of them being faint!

I'd recommend getting your hands on a FRER test and use your FMU in a couple of days to test again.

Fingers crossed for you OP!🤞

Did you have lletz or similar? If so it may still be your body healing and old tissue or scar tissue from that? It would be good if positive pregnancy I'm sure and I wouldn't rule it out but it does sound like your body is still healing if it was a procedure like that?

Thanks so much for reply @lou98 it’s so frustrating as this app says because I’m a new user I can’t upload photos yet. I’ll keep trying. I wondered about implantation bleeder but as if now be like 17 dpo I wasn’t sure. I’m going to test again tomorrow! X

Hi @Loops01, thanks for relying. Yes, I had lletz back in January which wasn’t nice. I bled about a week after but nothing since :-/ I haven’t had sex this week so don’t know why it would start bleeding. I have no idea anymore. Messing with my head and just pray the bad the cells don’t return.

Ah I can't see as I don't have an account. I hope you have some sort of lines! A lletz is good to remove the cells, I used to work in that field so know all about it! I've seen a lot worse so it is better to get it than not! Have you had a child before? Or are you older than 30?

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 14/05/2021 22:03

Well ovulation tests do turn positive in pregnancy but I think the pregnancy test is more reliable. Can't see the test but I would buy a first response and test again tomorrow, they are the most sensitive tests on the market. Good luck!

I’m 29, no kids. But went from having nothing to high risk hpv and cin 3. It was a small circle of cells though with clean margins
So fingers crossed. Just hope it won’t affect me having a baby as I was trying before the procedure.

Ah that will explain it then. Glad they picked it up and caught it before it spread. I'm always campaigning for smear tests haha. They can progress fast but sounds like you'll be fine if margins cleared plus you'll have more regular follow up. There was an old wives tale that it may affect keeping a baby to full term but they have better medical stuff for that now. It shouldn't affect getting pregnant ☺

@anotheronettc tbh I'd guess you're having a wonky cycle and are ovulating now! Can't see anything on the HCG tests I'm afraid. Hope you've pounced on OH for good measure but I guess you'll see if AF shows in 2 weeks time.

Loops01 · 18/05/2021 18:00

Just seen your pics! How odd! I have heard that opks are high when AF is due but I'd agree with above that it seems more likely they you're ovulating again?! It is normal to ovulate more than once in a cycle although not too common?
