Hello Cycle Day...I got coenzymeQ10

Cycle Day 1 and I've recently acquired:

A FertilityFriend account
A basal body temperature thermometer
Conceive Plus
CoEnzymeQ10
Preconception supplement
LH strips

Its only cycle 2 but I would like to give things a helping hand.

My main question is relating to the Q10. How many mg should I be taking? The brand I have is 200mg. And how long do I need to take them before they will have an effect?

Thanks!

I think you can take quite a high dose if I remember correctly but you will get it from diet too (I think it's in eggs and chicken) so I wouldn't go too far over. I tried it for a few months but didn't find any affect. No harm in trying!

Q10 improves egg quality but not for at least 3mo

Just a heads up, I got really sick from Q10, had to lower the dose and increase it little by little.

@Loops01 thank you, that's good to know!
@TheDaydreamBelievers that's exactly what I was wondering thank you.
@Bundaberg84 I've started by splitting the dose between morning and pm to start...I remembered what you had said!

I take 600mg a day over two doses. I had wishy washy maybe I did/maybe I didn't OPKs prior, now I have solid dark lines and BBT correlates so I'd definitely recommend. I've been taking it for almost 6 months so far.

@SemiFeralDalek ooh very interesting! Thank you!

In case anyone is interested, I read a study this morning, done on athletes' muscles after 14 days of taking Q10. I skimmed it and am scientifically illiterate at the best of times, but in the most basic laymen terms, they noticed a positive difference when they did muscle biopsies a fortnight after starting the supplements. Cant even remember the goal of the study but was just wondering how long it takes for the q10 to have an effect. I watched an explanation on how q10 supports the proteins involved in how the chromosomes are arranged right at conception. Its promising to think that there might be some strengthening of the relevant proteins in as little as 2 weeks, when I'm due to ovulate. Any one with any scientific understanding please correct me if I'm wrong!
