Spotting during tww BFP

I just wanted to give some hope to those who spot before their period. Because I scoured the internet for this stuff myself over the last year and spotting always seemed to turn into BFN. Ttc for over a year and finally got BFP.. at 15dpo. I spotted from 8po ( bang on queue like I do every month) right up until the day after my BFP... so it can happen! Every colour from brown, yellow, pink and red! Nothing that required a pad just when wiping. But was everyday. I was 100% convinced I was out

Oh wow thanks for this post! It's such a confusing thing spotting in the TWW, makes you think it's a definite no and AF is imminent! Congrats on your BFP!!

Jely123 · 14/05/2021 23:57

Congratulations!! Iv also got my BFP this cycle and would like to add a few things.
I didn't have spotting but I did have af type cramps for a few days from 6dpo got my first faint positive 8dpo.
Cervical mucus was super dry until today and still not much of it (13dpo) everything Iv read has spoke about increasing CM.
I was also SO HOT!!
Good luck everyone don't count your self out until AF arrives

Yes and me! Totally dry just like before AF. Def goes to show you aren’t out until it arrives! Congrats on your BFP!

Thanks for posting this Smile I’m currently in the same situation, 9 DPO and have been spotting since Friday (7 DPO) although oddly it stopped on 8 DPO and started again today. I’ve also had mild cramps but nowhere near as painful cramps as I usually get with AF. I’m holding my breath waiting for the day that AF is due before I test, but also half expecting her to turn up anytime now. I haven’t had any other symptoms, no CM etc. Maybe a couple of waves of nausea but I expect that’s my mind playing tricks. It’s so confusing!!!

Pickles1982 · 16/05/2021 20:30

My CM stayed the same as normal, mainly dry to be honest so def not an indicator for me! At 10dpo I put a pad on and for the next 3 days as was so convinced AF was coming. Also had cramps but they were a bit different to my usual ones (a lot milder). Good luck! And hope this month is lucky for you! Smile

How long have you been trying @Pickles1982? Spotting is one of those things, I think I always have had it but then you read online about progesterone etc and give you.the doubts!

Pickles1982 · 16/05/2021 21:10

I’ve been trying for over a year now for my first (age 38). I started noticing spotting shortly after we started trying so started taking vitamin B complex (from advice of other forums) which was great as seemed to stop it after a couple of months, but then it creeped back again. Normally from 8dpo onwards. Some times just a really small amount but pretty much every day until AF came. Normally I would get really bad cramps a couple of days before AF but this month they didn’t come (just mild). My spotting continued for 2 days after by BFP mainly brown (which I now know is totally normal as old blood) and seems to have stopped now. I actually waited until 15dpo (3 days late) to test as was so convinced it was on its way and didn’t want to be disappointed so no idea when implanted! I always wondered about progesterone also. Try not to doubt as I did every single month and I’m proof that it definitely happens! Good luck x Smile

@Pickles1982 that's great you got your BFP, hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well! And thanks for sharing about spotting, it just shows how everyone is so different! I am going to have a break from googling and OPKS etc and just go for it the next few months without the pressure I think. Thanks again! 👍

@Pickles1982 I came across your post today and found it really interesting - thanks for sharing!

Congrats on your BFP!!

I’m currently 13dpo and have had very light occasional spotting - firstly on 7dpo, and again the last couple of days. Naturally the last couple of days I keep assuming it’s AF turning up but she’s yet to arrive. Tested again today using a FRER and it’s a BFN.

Were you testing daily too?

I’ve had on and off nausea since around 7dpo and twinges / very mild cramps.

I know chances are I’m out and AF is just teasing me, but it’s good to hear sometimes it can lead to a BFP.

Xx

Pickles1982 · 18/05/2021 12:14

I didn’t test daily mainly because I was too scared and to be honest just thought my AF was definitely coming!! It was 15dpo before I did my first and it was pretty faint, took 5 days later for it to become a lot darker! I hope that your spotting turns out as good luck for you!! You def aren’t out till she shows her ugly face! Xx Smile
