Hi all 👋
I got my BFP yesterday but today I have period pains and feel like I'm going to start bleeding, my period is due in 2 days, is it normal to feel like this and have period pains? I'm around 3+5 weeks pregnant, I do have a son who is 5 so I don't really remember much about pregnancy apart from getting kicked 🤣
Thank you 😊

Hi lovely, first congratulations!!

In 6+2 days (confirmed via early scan with healthy heartbeat) and even today I've had the same feeling - the lady who did my scan is an NHS midwife turned private scanner for ultrasound direct and she said all very normal - it's uterus/womb etc growing to accommodate baby! Trust me though, even now I'm still so worried all the time but along with sickness and sore boobs I'm hoping everything is going okay in there - so anxious that I've even got another private scan 🤣 but what you're experiencing is all normal provided no bleeding 🥰xx

Everything that @hopingforababyh said! Your uterus is expanding, that will be painful. Just keep monitoring it and if it gets too much, don't be scared to go straight to emergency.

Btw, congratulations!!!!

Completely normal 😊 I was utterly convinced my period was coming when I conceived with both of my DDs.
As a PP said, it's your uterus expanding.

Congratulations!
