12 day luteal phase - when to test?

I was hoping for some advice, I have a usual 28 day cycle and usually I ovulate around cycle day 16 which means my luteal phase is 12 days rather than 14

I am aware most people have implantation between 7-10 DPO but does this differ with a luteal phase that'd 12 days or less?

As a POAS addict I am trying to find out the earliest point I could test, and with FRER (up to 6 days earlier) that would mean today/ tomorrow as my period is due in 6 days.

Hopefully this makes sense, I'm confused lol 🙃

Hi @RdEmTTC

I think Implantation can happen anywhere between 5 - 12dpo. Length of luteal phase doesn't have any influence on that.

As always, it's best to wait until the day after your period is due to test but if (like almost everyone) you want to test early, then I'd wait until your 9dpo. I'm only saying that because I got my BFP with DS at 9dpo on a FRER, didn't have a sniff of a line before that.

Good luck!

It doesn't really matter how long your luteal phase is, implantation happens around the same time, around 6-12 days after ovulation. My general advise is to test as late as possible. Best would be after AF was due, as @LifesAnItch wrote. But if you can handle negatives, you can test earlier of course. I know I can't :)
