I had a faint positive test last week then started bleeding (between 10-12dpo so early as usually 14 days for me)
Bleeding was like a normal flow so assuming it was af but I just did an ic (no idea why to be honest just had an urge) and got a line, can't tell if it has colour as so faint but these have normally been negative for me so it's a bit odd. I don't want to get my hopes up but have no other tests in to try so thought I'd see what you lovely lot thought about my shadow line 😂

(The first positives were darker on these and frer - both seemed to go negative after I started bleeding))
Af should've been due yesterday-tomorrow not 100% on ovulation as had 3 days of positive opks and my temps were taken at wrong times those 3 days so only confirmed temp rise after and may have happened earlier

Shameless bump 😬

I can see what you're seeing but it does look colourless.

It's a conundrum. Sorry I can't be more help 😂

firsttimemummy321 · 13/05/2021 12:48

@zippityzip thank you 🙈 yeah it's hard to tell as so faint but thought the darker bit at the top did irl. Strange as bled but had this last month but negatives then bleed then positives but then went negative and confirmed by dr as an early loss. I'm just so frustrated with my body 😩

@firsttimemummy321 this looks like the one step tests and they're known for bad evap lines, I've seen them myself! I can't tell from the photo whether it has colour in it or not so I'd double check with another brand if you can. These are so hard to read!

firsttimemummy321 · 14/05/2021 14:11

Thank you. I've had evaps on these before as well but this does seem to have colour in real life but I'm sure I've just had an early loss. Didn't want to waste an frer but looks like I might need to to confirm what is going on don't think I see anything on the pink one but not sure of the sensitivity

Is the blue one a 'one step'?

I've written several posts about these myself. When I was pregnant, they took forever to show a line and were very faint. I also had false positives, along with a batch of duds which showed false negatives! This is despite them 'claiming' to test down to 10iu/ml Hcg- same as a FRER!

I agree, get a FRER and test again tomorrow with 1st wee of the day. best of luck.

choccrumpet · 14/05/2021 14:41

I'm sorry @firsttimemummy321 :( I literally had a very similar line to yours on one step and on a Tesco test yesterday but tested with frer this morning and it was negative. So am really unsure whether it was another chemical loss or indents/false positives. Your pink once also looks similar to mine (I also tested using easy@home). Best to try a frer or another brand I think

firsttimemummy321 · 14/05/2021 15:12

Thank you!

So couldn't wait and did this on barely any hold...could be another evap but there's definitely something super faint there irl...

I see something, can't tell if there's colour in it though. I've heard frers have been bad for indents recently.. honestly is there any at home test that can be trusted nowadays 😅😭

firsttimemummy321 · 14/05/2021 15:48

It's too faint to see colour but I think there's a slight hint of colour but I could be imagining it 😂

I know it's getting frustrating 😂🙈😩

Those FRERs are awful for indents. You can see it before you've taken the test, I've driven myself potty with those sticks before.

firsttimemummy321 · 15/05/2021 07:10

This morning...did an opk just out of curiosity not positive but quite dark for cd6 🤦‍♀️

I would definitely say the one step is negative OP, disappointingly. It depends on your cycle but that OPK is a normal daily low reading for me. If you're cycle. Is out of kilter you may be about to ovulate earlier than you usually do though.

Agree with pp who said that there are no reliable early tests now, FRER and answer (knock off frer, made in the same factory) have gone to shit.

firsttimemummy321 · 15/05/2021 07:26

I'm thinking it's actually negative too as I had the positive then bled and this is fainter but for me the opks are usually blank white one line only until a few days before ovulation. If I'd had my period on time (not early) I would be on cd2/3

I know I'm just clinging to hope that it's stuck and didn't miscarry but was hoping to see a blank negative to confirm it so I can put it out of my mind

Hey @firsttimemummy321 definitely seeing a pink line here. If you have wondfo did definitely take one I find them pretty reliable and got a faint line at 7dpo x

firsttimemummy321 · 16/05/2021 10:00

@Jely123 thank you. I did one this morning and it was a super faint line I'm just so confused 🙈 (can barely see on the photos) just so odd as a week since first positive and bled in between so not feeling hopeful

I definitely see something on the blue one, could you go get bloods done?
firsttimemummy321 · 20/05/2021 06:18
