Hi ladies,

I should really know this by now.. but!

Just to clarify for me, as I'm slowly losing the plot on month 4 ttc...

Do you ovulate in the 24-48 hours after your FIRST smiley face on a clear blue opk or the when you get your last smiley face?

I have been using cheapies and will confirm with my clear blues this week as my test line darkens.

I want to make sure I am dtd on the right days as previously I have been dtd on the days prior and on the day of the smileys and no luck. I want to try and get in there on ovulation day if I can!

Thanks in advance xx

Hi op!!
Honestly, I don't think it's an exact science...
I think as long as you DTD when you get high readings (your lh line is darker than the test line or solid smiley) and then the following day when the line gets lighter (or smiley starts blinking) you should be fine. Remember that sperm sticks around for 3-5 days

As soon as you get a positive that's when you will ovulate within the 24-48 hours :)

I think it’s from your strongest peak, although my apps take it 24 hours from the last day of peak

Thanks for your replies!
I am using the 'two most fertile days' test sticks from clear blue so don't get any flashing smileys just an empty circle or a smiley.
I will make sure I dtd on the day after as that's what's I've not done previously.

I am trying to pay a bit more attention to my body now to try and pin point exactly when Im ovulating. I was considering the temp tracking but seems too complicated 😩
Xx
