@Bookbug92 what's your next step in relation to things then sweetheart? Are you happy your care has been transferred over to a different hospital? GPS are the worst can't wait to battle it out with them if the fertility clinic want anything in particular from them as they are different hospitals trusts as the one linked towards my GP has a 58 week waiting list to start treatment!

Hope everyone is okay! Loving the weather just currently out in the garden with the pooch after walking 5 mile with her, starting to get back into exercise again trying to lower that BMI for the clinic in 27 days wooooo happy July as it's finally the month my first appointment is after waiting all this time!! Our mabes is loving the sun most dogs sit out of the way in the shade but not mine 🙈

@PaleGreenAndBrightOrange I think it would be more beneficial to check tubes before IUI as mentioned before it'll be pointless as if they are blocked it may not work, I don't think any scan can indicate other than the suggested hycosy for patency of your tubes being open or blocked! From what I've gathered before on dr google they are expensive tests if you were to pay private so maybe push for it on nhs if you can by your dr :)!

PaleGreenAndBrightOrange · 01/07/2021 16:32

@kaylsd I raised this with the consultant and have a HyCoSy booked for next Thursday - so glad as I’m now convinced my tubes are blocked Grin

Congrats to be so close to your appointment! Is that for IVF? So exciting!

kaylsd · 01/07/2021 17:23

@PaleGreenAndBrightOrange that's fabulous news hunny let us know how you get on with it as I feel like that's something what I may have to have further down the line! And no sweetheart it's just been referred into infertility clinic after my diagnosis of PCOS where I don't ovulate and my hub had a boarder line normal SA which meant we was aloud to be referred into the clinic before 1 year TTC, we've been trying since august 2020 and not a sniff of a BFP! I think if my hubs SA improves (they've requested it to be repeated next month) we will be a candidate for clomid/letrozole for 6 month but I think if it's the same SA or worse (god forbid) we will be a candidate for ICSI from what I can read into! In accordance to the pathway of the trust im under xx

PaleGreenAndBrightOrange · 01/07/2021 19:42

Sounds like you’ll be looked after either way! So good to have someone take charge of the situation isn’t it?? I was starting to lose the will with months and months of negative pregnancy tests.

Bookbug92 · 01/07/2021 22:38

@kaylsd little Mabel is actually the cutest! 😍 I can't believe we're in July already, your appointment will be here before you know it! I'll be keeping my fingers and toes crossed that they are able to give you some answers and a solid plan, and that your DH's SA has improved (which seems a strange thing to say to a stranger over the internet, in a way 🙈🤣)

@PaleGreenAndBrightOrange that's amazing that you're booked in for a HyCoSy so quickly! I'm sure your tubes aren't blocked at all but I think it's definitely a good idea to get them checked as otherwise you'll drive yourself crazy wondering! Please will you keep us posted?

Our plan is just more waiting 😩 so because I had this 28 day cycle the consultant wants to see if my body is trying to regulate itself naturally, but if I'm still having irregular cycles in 3 months time they're going to consider clomid. And then a repeat SA for my DP in 3 months time, part of me wants him just to be tested now as his original analysis was back in March, but I guess at least he can take all the vitamins and see if a solid 3 months makes a difference!

kaylsd · 04/07/2021 14:31

@Bookbug92 don't worry about it I find it quite fitting that I can speak openly about it to many people both in my personal life and on here! I'd be tempted to persuade the GP to do a repeat SA exactly to the 3 month when he had his last one so your next appointment you can have the review of both for them to make the decision more factual for them for you both?

Hope everyone's okay and having a lovely weekend so far.. Today I've found it hard in fairness my inlaws are suffocating about how my SIL has bounced back so well in her post part figure how she weighs 10 pound less pre baby.. on about their wedding next year and how they are going to be trying for another baby after the wedding... when we had no recognition of ours and was told "we will talk about it when it's here" ah sucks to feel like this way today and I return to work tomorrow after 17 days off and non of my computer passwords work so I'm already set to a bad start tomorrow and it's not even here yet.. 😔

Bookbug92 · 06/07/2021 13:14

Hi @kaylsd I hope returning to work yesterday wasn't as bad as you had been imagining! Do you work in the NHS? If so IT are always such a pain, getting through always takes hours! I'm sorry to hear you didn't have the best weekend, it's so horrible when people but especially family aren't supportive. When they say they will talk about it when it's here do they mean a baby or your wedding? If they are talking about a baby that's an awful thing to say 😒 ☹ try not to let their negativity affect you, but that's easier said than done I know xx

CycloGoose · 06/07/2021 14:06

Oh @kaylsd I'm so sorry. I've never had such a fierce disliking for anyone I've not met as much as your in-laws hun! They're absolute rotters. Hope you got your passwords sorted.
The doc signed me off for a week and I'm back in tomorrow. Trying to catch up with paperwork and failing miserably. Every time I look at it, my head has started spinning. Going to be in such trouble. My boss already hates me. She's doubled my workload for the Autumn Term to punish me for getting pregnant 🤦🏼‍♀️
Hope you are all alright ladies. It's gone rather quiet on here x

Mousey3 · 06/07/2021 14:30

Hi @CycloGoose, thanks for checking in and hope you don’t get too overwhelmed with the paperwork tomorrow. Your boss sounds a bit like my friend’s boss who is being very funny about my friend trying to drop to four days a week (like all the other female teachers!) when she goes back to teaching.

I’m currently 6dpo and this is my first month using better OPKs so was nice to see an LH surge and of course trying to resist the urge to test until at least Saturday. I have a feeling that this isn’t my month and have ordered a bbt thermometer for next month in case I get a bfp. So if I get a BFP, I can at least look forward to trying that out.

Sorry to hear about your in-laws @kaylsd. People don’t understand the gravity of their words sometime and it sucks having to recover from that xx

Mousey3 · 06/07/2021 14:31

Sorry obviously my above post was supposed to say bfn!

kaylsd · 06/07/2021 19:51

@bookbug92 work isn’t the best at the moment, 6 off sick, 3 leaving it’s just one of those things! I keep trying to say to my student that we are just having a dory day where you just need to keep swimming 🤣 I need to get that on a mug I think so I can use it at work! I work in the NHS and it took like 3 tech guys to sort out my laptop 🙃 bring back paper that’s all I think haha! In terms of my inlaws I’ve calmed down a little bit now, they said the point of “we will talk about it when it’s here” about my wedding day which was heavily changed due to covid (part two is this year on our one year anniversary) but they are in ore with my BILs arrangement for their upcoming wedding next year although my hub is his twin but yet treated so differently! In terms of baby views with them we just get told there’s nothing wrong with us both even though evidence would suggest otherwise but you can’t tell some people sadly! I hope your okay? Xx

@Cyclogoose thank you sweetheart I managed to get my computer sorted in the end , my inlaws are truly one of a kind people not in the best way sometimes either 🤣 how are you getting on? Don’t rush back into work if you can avoid it if it’s too much for you, need to try control stress factors the best you can (easier said than done) work always comes second to personal life commitments ❤️ I’d have a meeting with your manager to highlight what the issues are with how they are treating you and how it’s not a feasible work load and if they say other can you go to a union about it? Sending hugs always, keep trying to keep the thread going best we can 👏🌈💁🏼‍♀️

@Mousey3 I hope your TWW is going swimmingly! I know how anxious the days leading to testing days can be, I feel like it’s been so long since I knew what that felt like :’) I’m glad you’ve found the OPK set up good and managed to get a clear peak! Let’s hope for two lines clear running up soon for your BFP! Have you had much symptoms? I love the temp tracking too but my temps are up and down when I’m in a anovulatory month but I find them beneficial when I ovulate because it also confirms it for me as I get clear peak!

@PaleGreenandBrightorange good luck for your Hycosy this Thursday I’ve heard it’s beneficial to take some pain relief prior and post procedure 🥰❤️ let us know how you get on with it because I’m sure that will end up being on my list to do at some point!

Hoping all the quiet ones are doing okay too @Aries491 in your early months of TTC, @Veronkia13 in your fertility appointment this month which is the same as me, July is a great month for a fertility appointment 😘🌈
@Minthumbugs our day one girl, hoping your recovery is smooth sweetheart and will be here for you when your ready / if you need us ❤️🥺

I hope everyone is okay ladies I know we’ve been quiet but life can get ahead but just know you can always come back on here and I’ll be a listening ear or shall I say reading eye 🧐 trying to be healthy for the 28th I’ve invested in a Fitbit and I’ve been obsessed with it since I got it a week ago, never been so interested in tracking my sleep & heart rate 🤣🤣🤣

TTC May/June - may the eggs be ever in your favour
Mousey3 · 11/07/2021 16:18

Hi @kaylsd ... I’ve not really had many symptoms but I got my BFP yesterday which is much stronger today. Can’t believe it! Just praying it sticks now. Really hope you’re well and let us know how you get on at your fertility appointment! Also what Fitbit do you have? I had one a while ago and loved it so think I might get a better one now xx

kaylsd · 11/07/2021 17:48

@Mousey3 oh my congratulations sweetheart!!! I'm so happy for you, wishing you a healthy and happy 9 month ahead 👏🥺❤️😘 least the OPK served their purpose for you and you managed to catch that egg 🙃🤩 I hope everything goes smooth ahead of you darling!
Will keep posted for the fertility appointment I feel like time is going to slow but I think it's because it's the month what I've been waited for so long! I've got a Fitbit versa 3 and I love it! Can answer phonecalls through it as well as tracking all the exercises ect, ive also got a fob watch for it for work :)

Mousey3 · 12/07/2021 22:33

Thank you @kaylsd! Currently trying not to freak out at a complete lack of symptoms and google is my worst enemy. Yes the OPKs really helped me pinpoint go-time Smile
Oh that Fitbit sounds amaze I’m gonna take a look Grin

kaylsd · 14/07/2021 21:40

@Mousey3 you wont regret it! I hope everything's okay with you at the moment ❤️🥰

Hope everyone is okay noticed it's really quiet on here now, nothing to update with myself as usual, cycle day 77 in the long cyster club 🤣 I cannot wait to have my consultation in 2 week time!! It's like waiting for a golden ticket in a wonka bar this stuff 🙈

Bookbug92 · 15/07/2021 20:47

Congratulations @Mousey3! 🥳 you'll have to keep us posted as to scans and appointments etc 😊

Woo two weeks to go @kaylsd! 🥳 on the final countdown now! Cycle day 77 really is impressive! 😳 Bless you though, it must be so frustrating to have such long cycles yet you sound so upbeat, I really hope they're able to give you a concrete plan at your appointment!

Little update from me as this thread does seem really quiet now, I seem to be going into reverse! After my usual 40+ day cycles I had my 28 day cycle before my hycosy and now I think AF is preparing to make an appearance and I'm only CD24. I have been taking a fair few supplements for the last couple of months so I'm not sure if they're playing a role 🤔

kaylsd · 15/07/2021 20:57

@Bookbug92 when will you hear about your hyscosy results hunny did they mention anything whilst having it done :)? It sounds like your cycle has gone the complete flip side; what supplements have you been taking? I know vitex supplements / Angus cactus can affect cycle length hugely! By the end of the week I will have beaten my own record in how long I've been since my last AF it's coming at a great time to be under a consultant to sort it out 🤣 I know the threads a little quiet I keep trying to post now and again to stop the dust and the tumbleweed build up 😘🙃 I hope your okay too darling! Xx

PaleGreenAndBrightOrange · 16/07/2021 18:16

@Mousey3 that’s amazing news! Congratulations!!!

I had my HyCoSy last week and it was all clear. The actual procedure was fine but 5 minutes later I had the WORST cramps. They felt like contractions - I was sweating and they have me something that stops cramping. Didn’t last longer than 30 mins but I wasn’t prepared for it at àll! Really took me by surprise

kaylsd · 17/07/2021 08:41

@PaleGreenAndBrightOrange ouchies im glad it seemed to settle in the end sweetheart! I'm glad to hear that your tubes are clear, does this mean you are moving into the next steps for a treatment plan maybe a clomid journey or do you not know yet?

Have an amazing weekend everyone, sun is shining, I can fit into one of my pairs of denim shorts yay and I've reduced my BMI to 25.7 from 27! :D flip side I'm at the inlaws for a bbq and with their track history I'm going to need all the luck 🤣🤣🙈🙈🙈

Bookbug92 · 17/07/2021 12:59

@kaylsd my hycosy was clear, both tubes patent 👍🏻 so now we're waiting for DPs repeat SA in September to see if the supplements are making any improvements! I think I may have mild PCOS (and the sonographer said she thought one of my ovaries looked polycystic) so I'm taking supplements recommended in It Starts With the Egg - I take myo-inositol, CoQ10, vit C, D and E, and Proceive - so I rattle each morning 🤣 congrats on the new reduced BMI! 🥳 enjoy your bbq today, sounds like you deserve it! And fingers crossed for no cheeky comments from your in laws!! 🙈

@PaleGreenAndBrightOrange that's great news that your hycosy showed your tubes are all clear 🥳 but those cramps sound awful! Thank god they were able to give you something to stop them!! Do you have a plan going forward?

Mousey3 · 18/07/2021 15:12

Thank you @PaleGreenAndBrightOrange and @Bookbug92! I ended up being referred to the out of hours care unit at 2.15am on Saturday morning after having called 111 the day before about some bleeding. I’m 18dpo today and haven’t stopped spotting since my BFP on 10dpo. It’s literally all day every day but so so extremely light that I’ve not been concerned. However, there have been a couple of days where it’s seemed a little heavier and more of a red than brown which I know rings alarm bells. That said, it’s still so light I’ve not needed a liner or anything but wanted to get checked out.

The GP didn’t seem concerned and said it was still likely implantation bleeding and to ring back if it got heavy enough to use a pad or I start passing clots so fingers crossed it doesn’t get to that. It’s just so worrying considering I’ve got absolutely not one other symptom. I wouldn’t know I was pregnant if it wasn’t for the tests!

Will keep you all posted. Sounds like there have been some positive stories on this thread with clear hycosys which is so lovely to hear. Hope you’ve all been enjoying the sun and hope your in-laws have behaved @kaylsd!!

kaylsd · 19/07/2021 14:33

@Mousey3 keep us posted how you get on darling hopefully that bleeding is a little bit of a implantation scare, I'll be thinking of you darling hopefully it's just a scare and things will be back to normal for you 🥺❤️❤️❤️ my inlaws was surprisingly okay! There was just two comments where I could have dropped kicked 🤣🤣🤣 one was “you don’t know how different it’s like when you’ve got your own kids” and “when you and Kayleigh have your own kids… my hub said dad you know what me and r lass is going through, there’s nowt up with you both you’ll have a kid don’t know why you worry” 🙃🙃🙃🙃 and just like that everything was worry free.. arseholes 🤣

kaylsd · 22/07/2021 14:20

Hope everyone's okay on here just a little check in!

The weathers beautiful been sat in the garden reading a book having abit of a self care day today! I'm doubled dosed up with the covid jabs so I've managed to get that bit out of the way before the clinic! My thighs are needing a day off from the chubrub in the heat though I'll tell you what it's been nice but could do with a few days off with the heat can't remember last time had a good night sleep! 🥵

Looking forward to my first appointment next week eeeek🤞🏻❤️🥰

TTC May/June - may the eggs be ever in your favour
Mousey3 · 22/07/2021 14:49

Hi @kaylsd, glad to hear that you are looking after yourself and enjoying the sun. Really looking forward to hearing how you get on at your appointment. Glad to hear also that your in-laws weren’t too bad although those comments could have been done without!!

I’m a bit overwhelmed if I’m being honest. I’m 5+5 and the spotting has been continuous since 4w! 99% of the time it’s one tiny spot of brown on wiping although the other day there were a few drops of red and a small clot. The doctor from out of hours said to call back if bleeding got heavy (which it has not and has been back to one spot of brown since the red) and if I have any pain (which I also don’t have). I don’t even need a liner/pad so would definitely still class it all as light/spotting but of course it’s easy to worry myself sick.

I’ve got a private scan in 7 days and my first nhs doctor appointment in 14 days so hopefully it stays the same or gets better until then. I’ve still got no other symptoms which is also worrying. It all just gets a bit much, especially when i WFH all day alone. My boyfriend is taking me out for a picnic tonight as he feels useless and thinks I need to get out the house so I’m looking forward to that!

Hope all you all ladies are doing ok xx
