@MammaJ21 you're quite right! The only thing for it is to treat yourself. I really hope your body gets it together soon 🤞🏻 it doesn't help when you're constantly worrying about it. X

Sorry about the BFN @Rinylou. You'll need to get on Amazon prime 🤣 I hope it turns out to be the best outcome for you and the witch stays away. X

@kaylsd been up super super early today. Think I'm just subconsciously worrying about the consultant appointment - it's today! Mixed feelings alert 😭

@CycloGoose glad your hubby is ok! Hope the rest of the week is better for you. Xx

Morning ladies, how is everyone today? I’m looking for a bit of advice and hope you lovely ladies can help. I’m on CD15 in my first ever cycle of TTC and have had four negative OPKs in the past four days. (I take them at 4pm - not sure if that’s relevant!). This morning I’ve noticed my usual EWCM around this time of the month. Is tonight the night to BD and then possibly tomorrow also? I get confused whether it should have been the two days leading up to today or now that I have the EWCM, the two days ahead, starting today. Will hopefully get a positive OPK later to confirm.

@Mousey3 morning lovely lady! Or shall I say afternoon now, they normally say when you can first spot ovulation signs like EWCM to baby dance at least every other day if possible, sperm can live up to 5 days so you are covered if you do it a little before ovulation and the day of ovulation and the SMEP method recommends the 2 days after for good measure
Aries491 · 26/05/2021 12:57

Afternoon ladies hope everyone is well! I for sure am ready for a bank holiday :-) got my cb opk delivery today so just patiently (or not) waiting for AF to leave then can start the fun part!! I know the leaflet says when to start using them based on cycle (and luckily I am regular) but I've read some women start as soon as AF finished just to cover all bases, anyone think that is worthwhile? Sending baby dust as always to us all :) x

minthumbugs · 26/05/2021 14:24

@kaylsd how can you make me want to cry and laugh all in one message 😭🤣 thank you for the support! ❤️ And I hope your fingers are ok haha. So is that something you send away? That sounds really handy!

@Mousey3 EWCM is a good sign! Get at it, cover all bases.

@Aries491 defo looking forward to bank hol, do you have anything planned? Think it depends how long your cycle is, you'll know yourself. If you have a short cycle then maybe!

I've had my appointment! For our newbies it was an appointment with a consultant with the results of blood tests and post mortem from MC in January. Basically the baby had no abnormalities or anything and it was all caused by the placenta coming away which unfortunately was just one of those things. Was pretty much the best outcome, we know the cause but it couldn't have been helped and shows no underlying problems. 🤞🏻 I'm so glad it's been and gone, I feel like I can start moving on. X x

Aries491 · 26/05/2021 16:57

@minthumbugs nothing much, probably buying some stuff for the rooms we have been decorating. Just spending money as my OH says...how about yourself?

My cycle is usually 29-31 days so pretty standard from what I can gather, probably can use the leaflet guide then :)

I am glad your appointment was the best outcome for you and your family with no underlying problems. Definitely good for you to have that and be able to move on Flowers

Mousey3 · 26/05/2021 17:30

@kaylsd great, thanks for your advice. Still have a very faint line on my OPK today despite the EWCM but will do as you suggest. I guess we should listen to our bodies sometimes more than tests!

@minthumbugs thanks! I’ll get at it indeed :) sorry to hear about your MC but sounds like your appointment can help with the closure you need. Most positive thing is no underlying problems so sending baby dust your way Daffodil

PaleGreenAndBrightOrange · 26/05/2021 18:53

@Veronika13 thanks for the reassuring vape info!! That’s one future argument I can cross off my to do list!

I'm sure with the CB they may recommend starting from after period to gather what your baseline is so it can tell a difference when the surge is about to happen? I'm not too sure as I've never gone to the posh ones being the CB 🤣🙈

Yeah darling it's a little mini blood test you provide at home and send off, I was recommended by one of my friends to use it to see if I ovulate than pestering GP to do checks as they've already done two on me which one set showed I ovulated and another showed I didn't! You're more than welcome chick it might be a talent of mine to make people laugh and cry ;) I just try and be there for people best I can, I'm a softie in person my friends call me the human form of a sunshine same with my nursing gang 🤣🙈 I'm like that lady on mean girls who turns up wanting to bake a cake of rainbows and smiles 🙈 on a serious note I'm so happy you managed to get some insight and maybe a element of closure for you guys in order to accept and process that chapter in your life, sending lots of sticky baby dust for your rainbow xxx

kaylsd · 26/05/2021 19:37

@Mousey3 all about the body signs these days 💁🏼‍♀️🥰🤞🏻

Rinylou · 26/05/2021 20:43

Hi ladies, just finished a 13 hour work day and just checking in. @minthumbugs I'm glad the resolution of your consultancy was the best it could have been in the circumstances. Are you feeling alright generally?

@Aries491 I usually start taking one opk on CD7 or 8 and then move to twice a day when the line starts to darken - I am using the cheapies though to be fair, maybe I'm being super profligate Wink

I didn't manage to get out to a shop to replace my Clearblue from this morning's BFN (blame aforementioned 13 hour work day) so hopefully my husband doesn't clock that AF is due tomorrow and the bag of cloth pads hasn't appeared in our en suite... thinking of the attention to detail like that men usually have, I'm probably safe!

Woke up with a rotten throat and banging head (did a Covid test and it doesn't appear to be that bastard). Obviously I've been Googling allllllll day as to how cold and flu symptoms are a good sign in early pregnancy hahaha (no wonder I had to work so late actually...). I've started to feel nauseated too - I almost vommed leaning over the bath when I was sponging off my grubby son, but that was probably just headache + steamy room + I'd just eaten dinner!

BUT I would normally have spotted all day today and not a speck. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if there was some spotting purely because I've agitated the whole shebang constantly checking Grin

If there's nothing in 24 hours then I'm officially late and the manic symptom spotting will only increase!! Confused

PaleGreenAndBrightOrange · 26/05/2021 20:49

@Rinylou sounds promising!!!

Veronika13 · 26/05/2021 21:31

Hi @Mousey3
lovely I'm in the same boat - Flo app says I've ovulated yesterday. But EWCM just started today only. OPK test showed no surge 🤷‍♀️

I dtd every day for the past 4 days but tbh I don't even know anymore 😁 kinda want this ovulation week to end already. Which I hope it has - I'm CD 16 and my cycles are 29 days.

Veronika13 · 26/05/2021 21:40

@PaleGreenAndBrightOrange I totally get you though the worry about the vape.
I started worrying about little things - us wfh and sometimes working from our bed all day and OH having laptop on his lap so much.

Me getting laser.
Coffee. Etc.

I started being very of everything

Mousey3 · 26/05/2021 21:59

Hi @Veronika13 sounds like we’re almost the same person! You’re one day ahead of me in your cycle and sounds like you’re just as confused as I am with EWCM and no positive OPK! Very strangely I’ve just noticed the slightest brown tinge to my CM and have never known that to happen before so wonder if it’s a sign I’m ovulating and I just never noticed because it was so slight and I’ve never been looking? Have dtd on Monday and Saturday just gone and trying again tonight. Sounds like you’re covered with the past four days and totally get how you feel with wanting this fertile window to pass and be onto the next stage. You’ll have to let me know how you get on with any symptoms in the next week or two

Veronika13 · 26/05/2021 22:27

@Mousey3 sorry I'm CD15! Did a typo! We literally are the same person then 😂
Just read online and apparently the EWCM starts a couple of days BEFORE ovulation,
Which might mean we haven't ovulated yet? 🤦‍♀️

Gosh soo over with all this 😁 how long have you been trying for? Since feb for me

PaleGreenAndBrightOrange · 27/05/2021 05:33

@Mousey3 and @Veronika13 for the first 4 months of TTC I was having sex at the wrong times of the month... I assumed the apps would be correct and I’d ovulate around CD14 or 15. When I started using OPKs I literally never got a positive even though I was testing from days 7-20. Eventually someone advised me to get the cheap sticks and test every wee until you work out your ovulation day because some people get their LH surge for a really short period (like an afternoon) and then it’s over. I got the Premom ones and that’s how I figured out I have a very short LH surge and it’s on CD 16 and I ovulate on CD17. Might be worth a try? The Premom sticks are about £15 for 50 sticks and 15 pregnancy tests on Amazon. I don’t still test every wee because I know exactly what time to test so I catch it every time.

Veronika13 · 27/05/2021 05:49

@PaleGreenAndBrightOrange that's really interesting. But we do dtd every other day so don't think it'd be possible to skip ovulation at any time of the month 😕 yet it's still not happening for me. Patience is my friend Grin

AfroFinnRainbow2021 · 27/05/2021 05:53

Hello everyone. 10dpo today. Bbt keeps rising but no implantation dip yet am I out?

minthumbugs · 27/05/2021 05:59

Lol @Aries491 my partner says spending money is my favourite hobby too 🙈 probably not much planned just chilling out! Where are you in your cycle now? Sorry you've probably already said. X

Thank you @mousey3, baby dust back at you XX

That's fabulous @kaylsd, will be perfect for you with your ovaries thinking they can just cba ovulating and getting away with it. How long will it take you to get results back? Thank you so much, you defo are our human sunshine ☀️ I feel like I know you now 🙈🤣

Thank you @Rinylou all good here! Had some lower back pain but trying not to think about it. Sorry about the long ass work day 😴 I have to agree, I don't think your OH will notice anything (if he's anything like mine anyway) 🤣 any update from your end? My fingers are crossed for you 🤞🏻

Sorry @palegreenandbrightorange I'm not too sure about vaping! Is it even something your GP would have any leaflets on or anything if it's too soon to ask? It seems to be one of those things that's new enough that they don't have much to say on it yet! But maybe worth asking for some reassurance or a kick up the bum for your OH🤷‍♀️ x

minthumbugs · 27/05/2021 06:00

Little cross post there @AfroFinnRainbow2021 you're not out until you're out! Do you know how long your LP phase is usually? Baby dust ✨

AfroFinnRainbow2021 · 27/05/2021 06:05

@minthumbugs Thanks for replying. LP is 14 days

minthumbugs · 27/05/2021 06:07

@AfroFinnRainbow2021 sorry don't know why I said LP phase there 🤦‍♀️🤣 have you had any symptoms? Good luck!
