Hello all. Thought I'd make a thread for all of us in the TWW for May!

I'm 2dpo today and ttc first child! Would love to chat with those in the same boat and support each other through the loooonggg TWW 🤣

Hey!

I’m 8dpo today and AF is due on Tuesday / Wednesday next week. 2WW hasn’t been too bad this month for me as we only managed to DTD once the day before ovulation this cycle due to other commitments. So I’ve already got myself in the mindset that this month is a write off and I’ve not been experiencing any symptoms whatsoever.

2WW is normally so hard and I’ll usually use a first response as soon as I can (always BFN) - but not going to do one this month.

My next ovulation window is when we’re away staying with family, so going to take a month off OPKing for May and just see what happens. Then back on it for June, which will be cycle #9 of TTC #1!! Feel like I need a break for a month.

I'm the same! Always using the frer super early but not now! They have had really bad indents lately and I've seen a few posts about it!! I have a huge pack of IC tests to pee on should I have the urge lol!!

@ReginaaPhalange hello! I am also 2DPO maybe 3 hard to be 100%.

AF is due 17th so only 9 days to go. My boobs are hurting today and I had some lower back pain before and slight cramping. Cramping has stopped now but boobs are still sore. But not getting my hopes up as I had this a couple of cycles ago and it was nothing xx

@carlsi6 I always get symptoms so I don't really try to pay much attention to them. I've had every 'early pregnancy symptom' there is going lol

Hi, new here and never posted. I’m 4 dpo but I’m not hopefully. Partner had a vasectomy reversal in feb so we aren’t sure yet if it was successful and I’m not hopeful 😖

@ReginaaPhalange I know I'm just trying to ignore it. I'm going to be back at work properly for the first time in ages next week because of COVID anyway so hopefully my week will fly.

@MrsTwentyNine my AF is also due 17th may. I think I'm 4 DPO tomorrow can't be 100% sure though. Fingers crossed this is our month! 🙏 xx

How long have you been TTC?
My cycles have been a mess since I had covid and then after the 2 vaccines ...so I'm not sure about this month either :(

@MrsTwentyNine we came off the pill very end of December and I didn't get a withdrawal bleed until middle Jan. Since then I've had 3 periods all exactly 25 day cycles luckily. What about you?

I honestly expected to just fall pregnant straight away but it's not that simple and it's nice having this forum to know everyone is in the same boat. I think the issue is you see everyone's pregnancy announcements but nobody ever talks about how long it takes to conceive do they? Xx

3dpo today and no urges as of yet to buy the frer for 'closer to testing time'. I honestly don't think I I'll be buying them again. Ill upload a picture of the indent I got last month - you can tell me how bad it is lol!!!

Also AF due either 20th or 22nd. My 2 apps have different days lol!

@ReginaaPhalange omg I definitely thought that was a line and was about to congratulate you! Was that within a few mins of testing ?? Gosh that puts me off too! Good luck this month (PS: love the F.R.I.E.N.D.S - referenced username haha)

@carlsi6 ahh mine is a bit of a weird TTC journey. I would say "properly started" June 2020 ..., did 6 cycles and then got Covid, which hugely messed up my cycles since that point. Not helped by my vaccines 4 weeks after Covid ...anyway now this is cycle 7 in my mind. But I have just had second vaccine about 4 days before O this month so 🤷🏽‍♀️ I totally agree re: being naive , I was so naive and assumed it would happen straightaway!! So hard as it's not in our control but I normally like to plan EVERYthing 😑

Hey @ReginaaPhalange I’m 3DPO so the same as you! Trying not to spot this cycle and drive myself mad last cycle. Feeling much better this time round. Do you test/will you be? I’m gonna try and hold off until at least the 17th but it’s hard as OH always wants to know ASAP even if it’s a BFN

@AllyCat31 I will test - I know I will as I'm weak haha! I'll probably start testing from 9/10dpo. I've got loads of 10/mlu tests from eBay so I'll be using them haha! Will not be buying frer!

@MrsTwentyNine it's shocking isn't it?! They were all like that then I saw people making threads on here about them too!

Oh me too @ReginaaPhalange 😂😂 they’re just so cheap! I’m gonna enjoy a week off pissing in a stick first though (I have long cycles so do OPKs from CD10 and I only ovulated on CD25 😭)

@AllyCat31 I was cd18 for ovulation and had 3 days of high opks so made sure to cover all bases lol!!!
I'll be taking a week off too haha! No more pee holds after lunches until home time haha

@MrsTwentyNine ahhh I see. Hopefully things start to settle down for you. My boobs don't hurt today and the cramp has completely gone so god knows what that was all about. I think I just need to try and completely forget about it this week and I'll maybe test at the weekend. Xx

Oh fingers crossed for you. We are waiting for a sperm analysis so I’m not holding out much hope!

After doing OPKs for over two weeks I am actually really enjoying not having to pee in a tiny cup/on a stick 😂😂
