What would you do - HyCoSy or DTD?

I'm 42, ttc since last mc in August, so 10th cycle this time round.
I'm cd 12 no positive opk yet, usually ovulate between cd 12-14.

My partner is coming over tonight as we don't live together... however I have a HyCoSy booked on Monday which you have to abstain for, which flushes my tubes out and potentially improving my chances of conceiving...
So, do I dtd tonight and postpone the HyCoSy or miss a cycle of ttc bearing in mind my AMH is 3... although is only takes 1 good egg right!?!?
All thoughts welcome x

I conceived right after HyCoSy. We'd been ttc 20 months without success prior to that. It might be worth abstaining this one time?

Good luck whatever you decide!

Thank you for your reply and great news that you fell straight after the hycosy. 20 months is such a long slug. Can I ask how old you were at the time?

Of course! 32 when we started ttc / 34 when we conceived / 35 when I had DS.

In fairness, as well as the HyCoSy, we were on a massive health kick at that time... we had joined a gym, lost some weight, cut alcohol / caffeine, started supplements. Basically trying everything we could to help conceive whilst waiting on our IVF referral. I therefore don't know for sure it was the HyCoSy that did it, but I've always suspected it probably was.

@LincolnshireLassInLondon did you try clomid before your HyCoSy?

No, all my bloods came back normal so think my hormone levels are ok 🤞

No Clomid here either!

Have you had a hycosy?
