Anyone had lighter periods after ERPC?

Hi, had ERPC early Feb. I'm getting worried as my periods have gotten light now. This most recent one was brown spotting for a day, red blood the following day (mostly when wiping and soaked one tampon), 3rd day, again just with wiping as well as 4th day. Anyone experienced similar? Can this be normal, can I conceive again? Went to my doctor this week who rushed through an appointment, dismissed me and said everything was fine. Quite worried and would love to hear from others.

Hi pab88, I'm sorry for your loss. The light bleeding after an ERPC is completely normal. I was exactlyvthe same after my MMC and was like it for at least 3 to 4 months and my periods were shorter than usual. Also some months it was like the blood was almost watery too.
It took my 7 months to get pregnant after the ERPC, I now have a 7 year old daughter and 4 year old boy.
Huge hugs, as I know its worrying but completely normal and you will definitely conceive again.

@ChharlW1 thank you so much. You also had like one day of red bleeding then nothing else? I'm so afraid there's something wrong with me. This is so unlike me as I used to have 2 heavy days, 2 medium days, then a light day. I don't know why periods go light after an ERPC. My bloods came back normal. Your message is so reassuring though, thank you so much for your reply.

Yes exactly the same one heavy day and then the next it was like I'd never had that 1 day of heavy bleeding. Another month it might just be a few very light days. It was very erratic but they did settle eventually.

@pab88 I appreciate this is a really old post so not fully expecting a reply but I just wanted to get in touch to find out how you got on? I had a ERPC in April this year and have had lighter shorter periods since. Really worried there's an issue and not sure who to turn too as nhs just don't think it's an issue. Iv been actively TTC for two months now without any luck.

@Mabelledox yes I’ve had this since my erpc in May. It’s light and also shorter. I used to have 5+ days of medium/heavy flow, in June it was 2 days of a light flow, the next cycle in July it was 3ish days light flow. I haven’t started my third AF, it turns out I’m pregnant again. I was worried about the periods and my cervical mucus in that first post surgery cycle so I started tracking my ovulation from cycle 2- opk and bbt. I ovulated in cycle 2 and 3.

@Blue2020 Thank you for responding. Congratulations on your pregnancy! This gives me huge hope so thank you for getting back to me ☺️ My cervical mucus is also different to before so perhaps it is all an imbalance of hormones and nothing more sinister to worry about! Good luck with everything!

@Mabelledox Thankyou. I was concerned with the lighter periods and thought something was wrong. Although it appears quite a few of us have had lighter periods after an erpc.

Hopefully it all settles down soon and it is your hormones balancing. Good luck with ttc, hopefully you get a bfp soon. If your cervical mucus is making it harder to predict the fertile window could you try opk to make sure ovulation is occurring and at the time you expect it is?
