Welcome back to the bus where anything goes, hop aboard, tell us about you & we’ll be here for you (there’s a song in there somewhere!).

This bus has a growing bunch of gorgeous black and white springy pups on board, tortoises & 2 feisty little kittens so bring your pets and pictures are obligatory 🤗.

We’ve got TTC happening in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

Oh and we like an embarrassing story to get your ticket for entry please!

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens

If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

@Catherinettc just 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️that's the reaction, wtf!

@kaylsd loving your suggesting of a flame throwing party basically! And the clear blue things are good, if they can understand my ovaries then they must be, I got stressed over the IC ones so much but my body is screwed!

@paintfairy that could be irritation from the pessaries, a lot of ladies get it so might not be your normal spotting

@MartyMcShy are they actually closed that's bizarre, what? And they can't answer? What?! But if next month is looking worse then maybe go for it. God I thought ivf was stressful but from you and @paintfairy I think the fully managed approach has a lot going for it but again though as @paintfairy says we all know our cycles are often VERY unpredictable

@Franklydear love the response for @Catherinettc "the baby made me say it 🤣" just feel down about the scan/clot frustrated going backwards and others who got pregnant in a similar time frame going forwards in terms of symptoms and stuff & milestones, I thought 6 weeks would be a milestone and all of a sudden I'm not there yet & having to do a lot less.

@larrythelizard you go girl and get out good on ya

@paintfairy seeeeeeeeeeeeeee you and @pennysays need to listen to me! I haven't tested since last week 2/3 weeks incident but at that point, 23dpo my IC looked like this so not exactly a dye stealer like some ppl say 🤣🤔I think it's very much down to individuals I think

@minthumbugs how are you lovely?

@Minster2012 but you are pregnant with this miracle baby, I am still over the moon about it, you’re in your journey, no one else’s, now get outside to dance in the rain.... I understand how you feel, I sometimes think where I should be, or what ifs with ds birth, it doesn’t help, so out with the old, now about my godmother tittle....

Madeoftea · 04/05/2021 21:25

@Hopeful110 oh thank you hun, I'm going to save that photo! Congrats on your 3+! I think I'll test every day with my cheapies and hopefully do another weeks one next week. One day at a time.

I'm too anxious to leave the bus anytime soon, I hope that's okay!

🤞 for more May BFPs

Franklydear · 04/05/2021 21:25

@Minster2012 ps, if it’s a girls you’ll have to call her Mila, for milagros, miracle in Spanish, it’s a very traditional name, yes, godmother AND naming the baby

Catherinettc · 04/05/2021 21:27

@Minster2012 it will all be OK. Just try to relax which is easier said than done I know. U have conquered so much, this is just a bump in the road. Btw I never had a dye stealer and very much pregnant (or put on a LOT of lockdown weight 🤣🤣). The 1st weeks drag and are filled with worry and nerves but hopefully u will start to relax and enjoy it all soon. Before u know it u won't be able to see u feet, be terrified to sneeze in case u pee yourself and be googled signs of labour 🤦‍♀️🤣 xx

Minster2012 · 04/05/2021 21:34

@Madeoftea don't worry we don't actually kick ppl off. We know it's hard, I'm feeling that currently but be careful of the testing though as it didn't do me any favours 😬

Congratulations @Hopeful110 that's great news 🙌🏻

@Franklydear what if there is no baby, can't help but obsess over it, the potential for another MMC is real, like it's already happened, stopped growing, the nest is fluffy as a 70s bush but the bush is not good enough for a baby 😭. Can't do anything but wait for the answer in a week. MILA is lovely, I doubt DH would agree as it's very close to Miler which was the name of a close employee who screwed him over a couple of years ago & stole lots of our company information to poach our customers so unfortunately probs not a goer! Any others??

Franklydear · 04/05/2021 21:39

@Minster2012 I’ll throw back at you some of your own advice, today you’re pregnant, there is a baby, worrying won’t help keep it that way, relaxing will, lots of names, let me get the Santoral out, ...

minthumbugs · 04/05/2021 21:40

@Minster2012 all good! Having a relaxed cycle, expecting ovulation at some point in the next week or 2, who knows 🤷‍♀️ how have you been doing? I totally get what you mean, that feeling of 'what if it's not real and there's no baby', it's totally normal but it really sucks.

Franklydear · 04/05/2021 21:44

@Minster2012 I got it, Espe, Esperanza , hope....

Vil10 · 04/05/2021 21:48

@pennysays you're so right, it can be!!

@Billythecat that must be hard too!! How did the app go??

@Madeoftea it's frustrating isn't it!! Congratulations again!x

@MartyMcShy exactly!! They just don't think, I would never dream of being that forceful with someone you just never know what people are going through! Sorry about your dilemma, could the clinic not offer any advice??

@paintfairy majority of them know about my travel plans but I just thought please shut the fuck up!!

@Kirky658 Thankyou lovely❤️

Went back to netball tonight for the first time in 2 and a half years, stopped playing because of my back then had my operation then covid so it's been a while, and the last time I played I was playing with one of my best friends who I'd been playing on the same team with for 9 years, and she sadly passed last feb, so it was quite difficult and emotional for me tonight but the team were great and I feel so good for going bsck, I can't wait for next week!! Even if I did get piss wrapped tonight🌧

Minster2012 · 04/05/2021 21:51

@Catherinettc I already sneeze and get a pain which worries me, not peeing though, that's all to look forwards too! Thank you gorgeous wee thing 😘

@Franklydear we like Hope, I shall cling on 🤞🏻 what is the Santoral?

@minthumbugs ahhh a relaxed cycle that's good! Yeah bit worried 😭

OP posts:
paintfairy · 04/05/2021 21:51

@Minster2012 that's pretty good for an IC actually! It just seems they are really inconsistent though and it hinges on which ones you have i think too. But mine can't be that sensitive. I'll use them early after the trigger next time to see if they show anything at all! 🤣
I did read that about the pessaries earlier. I didn't know that and they never said! I assumed it was normal spotting. It was only tonight that I sat and thought it was odd it was only first thing and nothing else. I wish do feel slightly irritated. I'm hoping I don't get thrush ffs. I might try the back door tonight. Blush
@MartyMcShy yeah I usually ovulate day 12. Sometimes 11. They'd booked me provisional scans on day 11 and 12 and I was thinking- pretty sure I won't need the 12. And at a push i was worried i might need one day 10 because I occasionally ovulate early on day 11. But obviously they just pick some kind of plan. So when I went on day 9 I didn't expect them to be like- nope, now! 🤣 The clinic won't be able to predict how you respond to the drugs so they won't be able to guess it either. Now next time I'm thinking it could be 10 but if they get the drugs better it could be 11 or 12 and god its hard for one of those not to be a Sunday. So it becomes a nightmare if you start overthinking it- because you have no idea what will happen. You could time it (you think) perfectly and it won't go that way at all. So i would say just go for it. It'll not play out how you think. And yes @Minster2012 at least with ivf there is more control and everything is a bit slower. This kind of gathers its own momentum. Whilst they can trigger it, they can't delay it. You just have to trust it will be fine!

larrythelizard · 04/05/2021 21:58

Oh well done @Vil10, it's such a buzz isn't it?! I haven't played in a few weeks and I miss it!

@Minster2012 take your own advice. Today you are pregnant, today you're cooking a baby, today nothing is wrong. Also I think that insta account I put on my insta might be for you - also their book - talked about pregnancies after loss?

polkadotpixie · 04/05/2021 22:04

@Kirky658 No surgery planned. I've only just been referred to the Endo clinic by regular Gynae after I was investigated for what they were initially concerned was an ovarian tumour but turned out to be the endometrioma

I'm quite surprised tbh that it's severe enough to show on MRI as I'm not very symptomatic...I used to have horrific period pain but it's a million times better since I had my son and my periods are light and fairly regular and I only have a minor nagging pain from the cyst, nothing major. I do have some bladder issues (pain and frequency) which I wonder if it might be related but again nothing too bad

Just hoping it's not going to make TTC impossible 😩

Juno231 · 04/05/2021 22:11

@MartyMcShy sounds like @paintfairy is talking a lot of sense!

@Catherinettc lol those friends sound like paragons of parenting 🤣

Went back into the office today for the first time in six months and it was so nice to be back. One drawback though? Omg it was so uncomfortable wearing trousers over the incisions - I kept having to resist the urge to sit at my desk with one hand down my pants 🤣. Look how well they've healed though! I 100% expected to catch some kind of infection so I'm so relieved 🙌

BTW AF was due today but hasn't arrived yet!

Franklydear · 04/05/2021 22:16

@Minster2012 the santoral is a list, every day of the year is dedicated to one or more saints, children get given the name of the saint and you celebrate that day as your own and get presents, our lady of hope is the 18th of December, a few weeks before the birth of Jesus, with Maria heavily pregnant , as to be in state of good hope is also an ancient phrase to say you’re pregnant

Minster2012 · 04/05/2021 22:29

@Juno231 they look great! I love the body's healing power it's amazing! But hand down the pants is not! 🤣

@larrythelizard yeah I was going to get that book in the future but I can't help but feel like I'm not there yet, not feeling pregnant now, my mind has done a complete u turn since the weekend and resting up is only intensifying the ability to not stop worrying because I'm not busy 😬😫

@paintfairy seeeeee I can talk sense sometimes. I tell DH it's all the time but it's clearly not 🤣

@polkadotpixie you are only just starting your journey and it could be a brief one, don't write yourself off so early

OP posts:
notyetamumbuttrying · 04/05/2021 22:34

@Juno231 they look great! And how trim are you, gorge flat stomach. Well done resisting the urge to fiddle about 😜
Typical that afs late when you haven't even dtd 😂

pennysays · 04/05/2021 22:46

@Minster2012 and @paintfairy, fine. Will put down IC until Friday.

Boobs burning like a bitch but have really managed to keep the old symptom spotting in check (mainly because I have no symptoms!). Also my temperature has been so low, it seems so unlikely that I ovulated so trying to be realistic about this all.

Also forgot to give a Smile for the sperminator being mentioned in the title of this bus! If only he knew (obvs can never tell him about the existence of this thread).

@kaylsd I feel a heat related playlist coming on and think flame thrower would be totally appropriate thing to take to your next family get together. Pretend it’s to help light the bbq but make sure to look MIL square in the eye while stroking it.

@MartyMcShy sending you love, your getting lots of support from this thread but I can hear the frustration.

Huge love to you all tonight. you are all important and your lives and worthwhile and you have so much to give others, with or without babies

2020mission · 05/05/2021 00:20

@Juno231 ohh you've healed really well I would have expected the incisions to look bad so soon after 🙌 and late AF you say? Did you manage to DTD this cycle? 🤞 or is that a silly question given the pain 😅

larrythelizard · 05/05/2021 06:35

I'm really impressed with your super healing powers @Juno231! Also jealous of the office (not sure if ever thought that!), it's now been almost 2 years since I worked in an office (mat leave and covid!)

Yeah I get that @Minster2012. I've been where you are and I get it, I really do. Sending hugs.

I might have felt ovulation pains going to sleep last night, will see if it's peak when I'm in from the gym, nice pot of FMU waiting for me 👌🏻

Kirky658 · 05/05/2021 06:48

@polkadotpixie yeah endo is a weird one, you can have loads of it with very little pain, vice versa or anything in between! Have the given you any plans to manage it? If you've been ttc for a while I'd push for a lap like @notyetamumbuttrying and @juno231 did 😊 I had my second one last June and I'm 21 weeks today!

@juno231 those incisions are looking fab - skilled surgeon!

bez91 · 05/05/2021 08:02

@Juno231 wow that's healing amazingly! My DD had heart surgery keyhole via her groin last year, it was amazing you could barely tell and now it's just like a little snake bite scar. Sod's law on AF though, wishing her on for you 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Minster2012 ohh bless you 😣 when is the next scan? Assuming like next Tuesday? It's so hard I know, those days in-between waiting for those scans are like torture wishing the days away but you will get there and we'll try and help!

Minster2012 · 05/05/2021 08:17

@pennysays you are welcome for sperminator & we have lots of unspoken things (though by now my DH is sick of hearing "so this lady on MN..." 🤣really hoping it was early for the IC and those killer boobs are a symptom def think @kaylsd looking at MIL with the flamethrower whilst "burn baby burn" is on in the background to light the bbq is a party I want to be at!

@larrythelizard fingers crossed for that FMU peak 🤞🏻& thank you, trying to be more positive today @bez91 it's next weds 🤞🏻another week to go (where hopefully Little Beau is growing away)

OP posts:
paintfairy · 05/05/2021 08:41

@Juno231 hand down pants. 🤣 Under the desk is ok, right?
@Minster2012 my friend pointed out the applicator can cause irritation too. I was like- what applicator? I just got given a box and told to use one at night. No instructions and certainly no applicator! Anyway- I tried back door last night and still spotting this morning. So?

BFN on a frer for me today. Knew it would be. It annoyed me having to use an expensive test! Grrr.
