Welcome back to the bus where anything goes, hop aboard, tell us about you & we’ll be here for you (there’s a song in there somewhere!).

This bus has a growing bunch of gorgeous black and white springy pups on board, tortoises & 2 feisty little kittens so bring your pets and pictures are obligatory 🤗.

We’ve got TTC happening in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

Oh and we like an embarrassing story to get your ticket for entry please!

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

@Minster2012 I had a lot of sticky tits during my pregnancy with DS as we were on a complete sex ban from 24weeks till he was born, it was torture! Hope all goes well with the scan on Wednesday and that your sex ban gets lifted or you may turn into a nun during the 9months wait 😂 Glad DH is more on board for you emotionally this time round and you know we're all here virtually handholding too. 😘

@kirky658, pram shopping, how exciting did you get one yesterday?

@Sausage1990 that is going to be so hard having the reminder of your work colleagues, I really wish I could offer some words of wisdom that would magically make you feel better but all I can offer is a hand hold and let you know we're here for you 100% so never apologise just get it all off your chest any time day or night and hopefully it'll help ease the pain if only for half an hour.

@Ltay2 you're really not having the easiest of starts. Hopefully the new milk helps.

@larrythelizard I'm useless at visualising colours together. If you download the dulux app you can take a photo of the room and virtually try on colours that might help.
My DS drew on the walls yesterday, he's been scribbling away on paper since he could grasp a crayon and its only taking him till now at 3 1/2 to start to rebel and do the walls that's twice this month 😡. Luckily my living room is due to get redecorated anyways but I was going to put up nice wallpaper, think I'll stick with washable paint if hes at the 'artistic' stage!

@vil10 the 'you next' comments always sting a little, hopefully in years to come fertility struggles will be so widely talked about that they'll gasp in horror that people today would say such things!

Hope you DD is OK @blackcurrantqueen it's never fun when they're not well

larrythelizard · 10/05/2021 08:32

Oh I missed that your DD is poorly @blackcurrantqueen, hopefully you avoided A&E and got some sleep.

@DKDK123 yeah I wanted to wallpaper it but DH was very against it mainly due to toddler DS - he's quite into washing his hands and is obviously very splashy...and potty training is all to come so I think paint is the better option!

Minster2012 · 10/05/2021 08:59

Hey ladies!

Awwww poor DD & you @blackcurrantqueen 😘hope you get rest today, def covered!!

@larrythelizards some great ideas for the room, can I suggest getting scrubbable paint, like @DKDK123 says EVERYWHERE?? We have it all downstairs & I'm so pleased 🤣dogs & a child 😬. So you got a peak? That's better than not right? 🍆🍆🍆anyway of course! I love funky wallpaper in the bathroom

@DKDK123 yeah I have to say I'm frustrated after one week 🙄and someone I know was on "pelvic rest" throughout her entire pregnancy 😬then the baby arrived and well, not much changed 😫

Hope DD is ok @blackcurrantqueen, croup is so nasty. And yes, sounds like you are covered!

@larrythelizard sounds like your body is definitely being a fuckboy! But better 🍆🍆🍆 just in case!

BFN for me this morning either 10 or 12dpo. I am a bit down about it but not quite as bothered as previously I suppose because the mc was so recent I am still a bit tentative. I also have a bit more to look forward to this month with lockdown easing so hoping not to be quite so obsessed. So will wait for AF and invest in that Femometer thermometer. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Haiyaa · 10/05/2021 09:02

Thinking of you today @Sausage1990 xx

blackcurrantqueen · 10/05/2021 09:24

Thinking of our lovely @Sausage1990 today 💕

We did in fact end up with a little trip to a+e for some steroids but we got gold star service and were in and out in a couple of hours!
I am exhausted sooo ready for a nap 😴

@Haiyaa sorry about the BFN. it's always shit.

@larrythelizard yay for peak! Though weird just get on it 😂🥰🍆

larrythelizard · 10/05/2021 09:24

Yeah got a peak on CD21 @Minster2012 but the temps are not tying up so still assume no actual egg. Ah well, next month it is! Latest peak ever, I'm all a bit blah about it thus needing a new project to distract me!

All the love and luck today @Sausage1990 xxxx

paintfairy · 10/05/2021 09:25

@bez91 a tea towel? How?! 🤔🤣
@Crazydoglady123 yeah agree with @Minster2012 - you either have to wait until the trigger would be out (which means waiting the full time) or test it out. Otherwise if you test earlier than the 2 weeks you'll not know if its your trigger showing or you are pregnant so will be completely none the wiser. A complete anti climax. 🤣
@Haiyaa it's still early if it's only 10?
@blackcurrantqueen oh no. I hope everything is OK and you aren't too exhausted!

bez91 · 10/05/2021 09:36

@blackcurrantqueen croup is horrible and really scary for them which makes it worse 🙁 I hope she's now on the mend

@Minster2012 sympathy with your pelvic rest. Hope Wednesday things are good and your ban is lifted! What time is your scan?

@paintfairy no idea, they're loosing their marbles so who knows 🙈 will have to have a sensitive word with their daughter when she calls around

Vil10 · 10/05/2021 09:40

@Minster2012 I might put it to my friends and see what they think🤔

@notyetamumbuttrying oh good I'm glad!! I know, I'm seriously considering saying thst next time, we're all out on Friday so if something gets said again I'm definitely going to reply with that!

@DKDK123 it always comes from friends who have children too so you'd think they'd be more aware of the struggles even if they didn't experience them! I hope it is made more known and how common it is, and they feel awful for constantly pushing it on me!

@Sausage1990 thinking of you❤️❤️

So because I had af pains like 2/3 days before I started, then had a 5 day period like usual, it was over a week since we last bonked, we did last night to celebrate af finishing and wow it was amazing, it was like we hadn't had sex for a month😂🍆

Haiyaa · 10/05/2021 09:56

@paintfairy yes I suppose so but now I will just worry more if I get a late BFP and the miscarriage risk so will probably wait until Fri/Sat when af due and if nothing then will test on Sunday.

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/05/2021 10:09

@Crazydoglady123 ah ok, must be that then!
Your testing time will be around when I can hopefully swap to menopur. Good luck holding out until OTD, I'm sure you can do if that's what you've both agreed.
@Vil10 you should mate. They're being well intentioned as it's societal norm to say things like that, but hopefully it stops with more awareness of ttc struggles. And yay to the good sex! 🥳
@Haiyaa sorry for bfn, I stupidly tested too at 10dpo and same outcome. Good idea to wait to see AF shows and test again then.

Amy00 · 10/05/2021 10:27

Sending all the hugs @Sausage1990 xxx

Minster2012 · 10/05/2021 11:16

@Haiyaa damn sorry for the BFN
I have a Femometer thermometer I've only used for a couple of weeks if you'd like it?

@notyetamumbuttrying you too damn BFN 😕😩all the hugs

@Vil10 def and report back what they say 😂and yessssss to the smoking sex!!

@larrythelizard so frustrating but def good on the project

2alreadywantanother · 10/05/2021 11:17

Ah no @sausage1990 my hearts breaking for you. We both should be holding our babies a few wks now but having to go through that again I cant imagine. Although I haven't had a bfp since my biggest fear is it happening again. Thinking of u x

Kirky658 · 10/05/2021 11:18

@dkdk123 yep we got a pram and it's being delivered tomorrow 😊 apparently it's a superstition it can't be in the house till baby is born so into the summer house it will go!

@blackcurrantqueen glad your DD is OK now bless her

Thanks for all the love ladies.

So I've spoken to the hospital and we've opted for surgical management. I have to have a covid swab tomorrow morning and then it can take 48hrs to come back so I will hopefully have the surgery on Thursday. I've then gota isolate until I go in. They will talk me through the process for Thursday when I see them tomorrow as I have to sign consent forms.

I asked questions about what to do if anything happens naturally and she gave some advice about collecting the pregnancy tissues if it's out of hours, but to call epu if it's within hours. I don't think it will happen naturally but it was good to go through it just incase.

I'm feeling quite emotional since the call, feels a bit real now. But I'm going to go out today to get all my bits an pieces I will need to make my hospital trip & recovery at home more comfortable.

Has anyone else had the surgical management for miscarriage? Any advice or tips on what made things easier?

Hope you're all well xxx

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/05/2021 11:47

@Minster2012 ahh thank you, hope you're well today ♥️
@Sausage1990 understandable to feel emotional about it. I'm glad you're fully informed tho and hope you get all you need today when you're out. No advice to impart, I'm sure others will share soon tho ♥️💕

bez91 · 10/05/2021 11:48

Oh @Sausage1990 💕 I'm so sorry.

I had surgical management back in December. Depending on the hospital you'll likely get given the choice of general or local anaesthetic. Some only offer general I believe. I opted for local so I was awake through the procedure, I think it depends on your pain threshold tbh. DH couldn't be present so he dropped me off and picked me up but it was done so quickly and I was in and out within 3 hours and the most amazing nurses held my hand through the procedure. Just a little sore and pressure like feeling for a couple of days but nothing debilitating, it's more the emotional side. Set yourself up for a day on the sofa post procedure and take it easy for a few days, I bought a pack of maternity pads too but super pads will likely do. Just make sure DH looks after you 💕

Kirky658 · 10/05/2021 11:54

@sausage1990 no advice to offer I'm sorry lovely but just to say we are all here if you need an ear. You're so brave ❤️

Haiyaa · 10/05/2021 12:13

Oh @Sausage1990 I really feel for you. No advice other than to take care of yourself physically and emotionally and hope that the procedure doesn’t cause too much discomfort.

@Minster2012 thanks for the offer, might take you up on it if/when af shows. Stupidly still hopeful but resigned if that is possible?!

Sausage1990 · 10/05/2021 12:32

@bez91 thank you for that. I think my hospital do general and tbh if I do have the option I'd go for that anyway. I found the last miscarriage very traumatic, my pain tolerance is quite good, it was just the whole thing was traumatic so I think it would be easier for me anxiety wise to have general. But good to know it's a simple procedure.

I've got some super night pads already but I think I'm going to get myself a new nighty and new lounge wear to make me feel a bit better (only asda but still)... Maybe some nice snacks too.

Thank you for your kindness @haiyaa @kirky685 @notyetamumbuttrying, its so appreciated 💕

DKDK123 · 10/05/2021 12:38

@Minster2012 pelvic rest through her entire pregnancy 😱😱😱

@blackcurrantqueen glad to hear the A&E trip wasn't as horrendous as they can be, hopefully rhe steroids help and your DD will be back to her usual self soon.

@Vil10 hooray for hot sex 🔥🔥🔥

@Kirky658 yea its an old superstition I remember my gran freaking because I had bought everything for DS and had his nursery all set up by about the 5th month 😂

@sausage1990 what an emotionally painful thing to have to go through, is DH allowed to be in the hospital with you or is that not allowed due to covid? Im sure the staff there will be amazingly sensitive to your needs, no advice as I haven't been through it other other if any questions come to mind between now and then write them down as your head will be all over the place on the day and you may forget to ask. Hope you buy yourself some good self care items and just take it easy over the next few weeks, get some new PJs lots of snacks and some netflix on the go 😘

Lexber · 10/05/2021 13:20

Sending you lots of love @Sausage1990 I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through. I have no experience but wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts. Take care of yourself xx
