Welcome back to the bus where anything goes, hop aboard, tell us about you & we’ll be here for you (there’s a song in there somewhere!).

This bus has a growing bunch of gorgeous black and white springy pups on board, tortoises & 2 feisty little kittens so bring your pets and pictures are obligatory 🤗.

We’ve got TTC happening in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

Oh and we like an embarrassing story to get your ticket for entry please!

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

minstermusings.co.uk for the blog that’s where the full stuff happens

If you want to sign up & get updates please do, please note your username if you comment shows up to others so maybe make it anonymous I won’t be offended 😂🤣(unless you are mean)

@Sausage1990 new pj's are always good even from asda🙂. I'm sorry you're having to experience this. I can't even begin to imagine how you and OH must be feeling. Have you been offered any support like counselling x

Lexber · 10/05/2021 13:27

I've tried to catch up but them completely forgot everything except how lovely @Franklydear (I think) new hair looks!

It's been a busy weekend here celebrating OH birthday involving 2 evenings outside pubs and 1 evening with friends over (very late one) and I'm 9dpo now.
I don't drink much anyway so use the excuse of driving and had a lovely pint of lager shandy as I really fancied it!

Feeling very 50/50 at the minute of how I feel in myself as over the weekend had some cramping and backache and yesterday whilst dtd I had to tell OH to stop touching my boobs as they were really sore! Feel shattered today but again thinking just the aftermath of a busy weekend. I'm trying it to symptom spot 🤣 and telling myself it's all in my head or possibly just general feeling and not anything else.. due Saturday by my dates... hoping it doesn't arrive!!

Who else is in the TWW? And how far are we?

Sausage1990 · 10/05/2021 13:28

@lexber thank you hun 💕

@dob78 no we havnt been offered counselling or anything yet but we are being referred to the reoccuring miscarriage clinic and are still under EPU atm so I think I might ask about mental health support. I don't really know what's available tbh xx

larrythelizard · 10/05/2021 13:42

@Sausage1990 I've had surgical management and for me it was better than sitting waiting for the inevitable to happen (tbf it was about 3 weeks after first scan which showed things weren't right).

I had to be there at 7am and was first down, I had a GA and was probably under for about 15 mins - so didn't feel too rough afterwards from the GA.

I was crampy afterwards but not very sore, I think my hand was worse from the cannula. I bled for about 3-4 weeks although just lightly. It was worse mentally than physically. I went to work the next day (I had a big meeting and couldn't think of a way out of it without telling the truth which I didn't want to do) and was physically ok (emotionally not so much).

At the hospital I had it done at it wasn't anywhere near the labour ward and the nurses were absolutely fantastic - gentle and supportive and so so caring.

Sending love, I'll be there in spirit with you x

lucyrp · 10/05/2021 13:45

@Sausage1990 I've popped you a message about my surgical management on the other thread lovely xxx

larrythelizard · 10/05/2021 13:47

Also @Sausage1990 this is a link from the Tommy's website of where you can get support -

@Lexber also TWW but this time round I think it'll be a 6 day wait; hardly got the same ring to it has it?! AF due on Sunday.

I no longer believe any symptoms after feeling really nauseous last cycle!

Minster2012 · 10/05/2021 13:53

@DKDK123 yeah full pregnancy is a possibility!! 😭

@Sausage1990 I'm pleased you have a plan, and also a plan for your care too, def treat yourself to all the nice things 🥰and ask about counselling, I don't see why the hospital may not also have a counselling service? Hopefully they do

@Lexber oooo glad you had a good time celebrating and can find a cycle buddy, I've got everything crossed! 🤞🏻

DS has just been sent home from nursery with a cough (he had a runny nose this morning so it's most likely just a cold but I completely understand why they need to send him home). Tho now the whole family need to get tested and isolate which isn't so good when DH is self employed and losing money every day he's not at work. Let's hope DS doesn't have any more expensive colds 🙄

I'm due Saturday currently getting stabbing pains in my foof and lower stomach cramps and just wanna curl up and sleep! Feeling so mardy today it's unreal: I don't ever really get sore boobs or anything before AF just usually crampy just before it arrives.

Do you usually get any symptoms before AF?

larrythelizard · 10/05/2021 14:03

Oh that's annoying @DKDK123 - last test I had came back in less than 24 hours so 🤞🏼 for a quick result.

Sometimes I get cramps 24-48 hours before, sometimes by body taunts me with no AF symptoms and then BAM here comes AF...!

Somatronic · 10/05/2021 14:30

@Sausage1990 I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I'll be thinking of you this week xxx

My first message on this bus - I read through most of the thread today. I decided to try to stop thinking about TTC which included not being on TTC threads and ended up almost forgetting to actually try to conceive this month.

I kept forgetting to do my OPKs all week until this morning (I left the kit on top of the toilet to remind me and I still somehow kept forgetting to do them). So this morning I did an OPK and got an empty circle, then I had EWCM later on in the morning (which I never usually get, I think because of being on Clomid which I no longer take) so I was highly confused.

In my head I was on cycle day 9, but when I checked my app I realised it's actually cycle day 13 so I dragged DH upstairs to DTD even though he was clearly busy at work. One of the good parts of us both working from home.

So no idea what's going on but I'll keep on DTD I guess and it should be fine.

Haiyaa · 10/05/2021 14:53

@Somatronic I think if you don’t do (the ClearBlue) OPK’s for a while the first reading will always be a blank circle as it is a baseline. You may find you get a static straight away next time. Try later today or tomorrow.

Minster2012 · 10/05/2021 15:13

@DKDK123 god hope that's the only expensive cold, and that you get the right negative result 🤞🏻How annoying!

@Somatronic I agree you have to have a blank circle first so then hopefully it will change, though that's an excellent way to cover everything with DH at home!

So it's thundering here so pleased I got the dogs out early though I might just give them one more quick run before the heavens open!!

However, a question, what do I do...I have the maternity notes to fill out ahead of booking appointment next Monday, HOWEVER last year I filled out my notes ready then never got to my booking appointment and I'm worried I will somehow jinx my scan if I do it in a repeat of last year. What do I do?

OP posts:
Haiyaa · 10/05/2021 15:19

When is your scan @Minster2012? I would leave it until as late as possible. Maybe Sunday night?

Somatronic · 10/05/2021 15:20

Thanks for the tip @Minster2012 and @Haiyaa. It's only my second month using them and I'm a bit of a novice clearly!

Minster2012 · 10/05/2021 15:20

@Haiyaa it's mid weds morning

OP posts:
BlondePotter · 10/05/2021 15:25

@Minster2012 just leave it until Sunday, then you won't feel like you're jinxing yourself 💗

I did send a super long message yesterday along with Mac and cheese pic but it never posted 🙁 there were other toppings not pictured!

@Sausage1990 physically I had a sleep after from the GA, and they'd put a pad on me when I was under. I felt tired for a couple of days from that and bled for about 3 weeks.
Mentally of course is different so yes to new lounge wear, whatever snacks you want and mindless TV which you enjoy 💗💗💗

2alreadywantanother · 10/05/2021 15:42

@sausage1990 I had surgical management. It went ok. Mo issues, no heavy bleeds or that but my friend had the complete opposite, cramps and bleeds. Everyone is different.
I opted for the surgical management as I've 2 kids and they didn't know and I was afraid it would happen at home and I was in pain. They would be worried sick. It's gona a rough few days on you, be kind to yourself. Take all the hugs u can get. PM me if u wana chat xx

Haiyaa · 10/05/2021 16:37

Has anyone watched Ginnie and Georgia on Netflix? Two episodes in and hooked!

DKDK123 · 10/05/2021 17:08

@minster2012 rationally of course it won't jinx it filling them out just now. However I think it'll play on your mind so I'd leave them till the night before for your own peace of mind.

That looks delicious @BlondePotter so jealous!

Trying to make sure I don't fall behind on my 5miles a day I'm currently pacing around my house to get my last 2.5miles for today. Think I'll download an audio book to keep me going.

DOB78 · 10/05/2021 17:13

@Sausage1990 I'm hoping they have a process to follow to support your mental well being and maybe haven't offered yet, too soon. We'll all be there with you hand holding, snack providing, back rubbing, broad shouldered whatever you need

notyetamumbuttrying · 10/05/2021 17:24

@Haiyaa yes binged it in a few days! It's bloody excellent!! Can't wait for s2!

@BlondePotter that pic is making my mouth water 🤤

paintfairy · 10/05/2021 17:37

@Minster2012 I think I'd be tempted to wait. It would make me feel better even though technically it won't change anything.
@Sausage1990 GA sounds better to me. I've never experienced it, so no advice. But I'm really sorry you are having to go through this. Mentally it must be awful. Definitely see if you can get some help in that respect, I'm sure it must be available. And new lounge wear sounds ideal x

Minster2012 · 10/05/2021 17:51

@BlondePotter that looks immense! Need a Mac n cheese now 🤣😂

I think you guys are all right, it won't change the outcome but I may feel it so will agree @Haiyaa @DKDK123 @paintfairy thank you!

Adding Ginnie & Georgia to the list!
