Does this look positive to anybody else or am I just being paranoid? I have a 16 month old, 5 week old and I did a test just before I see my GP for my 6 week checkup. My partner and I were idiots and did have unprotected sex once a week postpartum.

Just wanted to see if anyone else thought this is positive or if it could still be left over hormones from my previous pregnancy?

Thank you!

Super faint but there is a second line there for sure

PiePie926 · 03/05/2021 14:11

I see two lines too....

pineapplejuice20 · 03/05/2021 14:13

Is there any chance of that being left over hormones from my daughter who is 5 weeks old?

There’s two lines!
So it could be HCG left over, some say it leaves when placenta is out, others say anything up to 10 weeks to leave!
Need to get some bloods done I think!

pineapplejuice20 · 03/05/2021 14:20

I really do hope it's just HCG from my little girl, definitely not wanting another annnny time soon 😖 il ring my GP up in the morning!

Are you breastfeeding? If so then it is more than likely leftover hcg as bf is a pretty good contraceptive when you're doing it a lot (not 100% obviously!)

Chitaufree · 03/05/2021 18:52

Definitely positive

Chitaufree · 03/05/2021 18:53

I’m mind blown you managed to have sex a week after birth! Shock

pineapplejuice20 · 03/05/2021 19:16

@Noodella18 not breastfeeding nope!

@Chitaufree I'm also shocked 🤣🤣 but I had 0 pain after having her, bizarre!

There a faint line that's for sure. Best thing to do is wait a few days do another test to see if the line is stronger. As hcg levels increases!
Also you can get bloods done to check for pregnancy.

pineapplejuice20 · 04/05/2021 07:17

So that's today's on the bottom compared to the top. I don't think I see much difference so I will wait til Thursday/Friday now to do another. I do think it probably is just HCG that hasn't fully left my body yet!

I've not had a baby but it took 10 weeks after my misscarriage to test negative, so hopefully is just left over hcg
