yucky question about CM, EW or otherwise

Hello

This is kinda embarrassing. Before my miscarriage in March, I usually had a plentiful supply of EWCM, which was handy for both working out when to jiggy jig, and helpful in conception. I conceived four times, within four or five months, over about two years (lost them all to mc)

However, since my mc it is in v short supply. I've tried the grapefruit juice, EPO, herbs, etc, but it's not making much difference. I also have not conceived.

This has coincided with, ahem, how shall I say this, DP getting a sore johnson towards the end of sex.

Could I be producing some sort of noxious CM, that is both killing sperms and hurting DP's old chap?

I'm already doing acupuncture. Sometimes I wonder if I'm ovulating - to that end, bought thermometer kit to watch for that temperature spike. Not there yet..., but only CD14

herbaceous - I would really recommend Toni Weschler's book "Taking charge of your fertility". If you follow what she suggests in the book then you will have a much better idea of what is going on with your cycle.

If you are ovulating but not producing enough CM then it's unlikely that you will become pregnant as sperm doesn't last very long without the right conditions. There is a product called preseed which does the job apparantly (other lubes can kill sperm) or you could use some hen's egg white instead as it is compatable with sperm. (Top tip, don't use too much and put it in there with a syringe!) None of this is any use unless you are ovulating of course.

HTH

I've had a thought. Every night I squirt a decongestant up my nose, as otherwise my stuffy nose makes me sore. I wonder if it's drying up more than my nostrils?

It could well be!!

Ooh. When I said 'sore' I actually meant 'snore'! Totally different problem!

I think I read somewhere about decongestant having an effect on CM.
