Fertility Smart supplements for conception

Hi,

I've found Mumsnet to be extremely helpful throughout the conception journey and now during pregnancy. I don't usually start threads or contribute to chats, but really wanted to share my experience of Fertility Smart supplements in the hope that it can make a difference to other women.

My husband and I struggled to conceive, we were trying for over 1.5years and nothing was happening. We got all fertility assessments done and found out that hubby had poor morphology (3%, at lowest it dropped down to 1.5%), on my side everything was fine, although my AFC was at 10 so not the best for IVF I was told. I tried different vitamins, Seven Seas and just simply taking folic acid on its own. Hubby started taking Fertilsan per recommendation of a fertility specialist. I tried acupuncture as well, but the disappointing months kept rolling.

We were lucky enough to be referred quite quickly for IVF through NHS given husband's morphology.

A little over a month before our IVF appointment, I stumbled across Fertility Smart supplements. The reviews online looked somewhat fabricated so I was extremely sceptical, but also felt like I had nothing to lose. So ordered a 3-month supply. When the supplements arrived, I was not sure whether I would start taking them at first and really had low expectations, but anyways started taking them. To our absolute surprise, having finished the first pot of capsules, I fell pregnant that exact month. I'm writing this and still in disbelief that it happened, we literally found out a couple of days before our initial IVF appointment. Obviously correlation does not mean causation, but this was the only change to what we were previously doing and it is worth a try.

Really hope that this will bring the same blessing and happiness as it did for us. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to get in touch.

All the best, Stella

Hi Stella, congratulations on your happy news.

I have just turned 41 and I'm at the early stages of seeking help from the NHS and the Fertility Clinic. I'm considering ordering some of these supplements but I'm worried that I would be wasting my money. At the moment I am taking Q10 as I have also read that this is good to encourage healthy eggs. Also do you mind if I ask how old you are.

Thanks x
