norethisterone help please

I am currently taking norethisterone to delay my period for a trip this weekend
I have been ttc and have been using ovulation tests
Can norethisterone cause positive ovulation test as the last 2 days my ovulation tests are showing as positive
Or could this positive mean I'm already pregnant
Going to wait and see if I bleed when i stop or could i test now or would norethisterone
Affect the hpt

@Lily189 are you sure of your period dates? Norethisterone doesn't stop ovulation so it could be you are just ovulating right now. Though I would take a hpt to be sure as you really shouldn't continue on them if you are pregnant. They shouldn't affect the result. 🤞

I just done a hpt its positive would the tablets give a false positive

@Lily189 no, it's just high dose progesterone so wouldn't affect results. Congratulations! Maybe call your doctor to see if you stop them altogether straight away or slowly come off so the levels of progesterone don't drop significantly at once
