Help! Pregnancy tests not getting any darker 15dpo

I really need some help and advice please.

I got a faint FRER BFP on Monday 10/11 dpo (I’d got some fainter ones on Saturday/ Sunday 8/9dpo) I tested all week with FRER and one step strips and although they had 2 lines they didn’t get any darker and in fact looked a bit lighter I thought it was because I’d been up in the night peeing. So didn’t drink anything yesterday evening then this morning I’m 14/15 dpo and decided to do 2 CB tests one a digital and the other a 6 days early one. The digital showed not pregnant but the 6 days early has a faint line. My bbt dropped today but still quite a bit above cover line.

My head is all over the place because I have no idea what’s going on, I feel pregnant but the tests are so confusing. I’m having bloods done tomorrow and hope I get the results on the app before the day is over.

I’m either having a Chemical Pregnancy, HCG levels are not increasing or I’m just not pregnant. Has anyone experienced this? If so what happened?

hi. sorry the clearblue looks negative to me :( think the first response's are indents they are bad for them atm. think for 15dpo there would be an obvious line but hope i am wrong xx

Thank you for replying. There’s a faint line on the CB I just couldn’t get a clear pic.
What’s an indent line? Could it happen on more that one FRER? I’ve done 4 FRERs that all have faint lines. X

Are you late for AF OP if so how many days? I can definitely see a faint line on the FRER x

@MrsBirds I’ve had awful indents with FRER recently you can even see a line when the test hasn’t been pee’d on. I can see something on the FRER but it does look like an indent. Hopefully its not and in a few days you’ll have a nice clear line.

@stephaniex I’m 2 days late for AF. I’m having bloods done tomorrow, my Dr said I may still be too early to test? Which I found odd.

Im holding out hope but I’m also at the point now where I just need AF to show up and let me move on and hope for next month.

@MrsBirds I think is just a bad batch of FRERs floating around because they used to be really reliable! You can usually tell an indent if its more grey than pink! good luck with the bloods hope all goes well

It looks like a chemical pregnancy potentially. You could get a faint line on a digital but it not be enough HCG to trigger the pregnant message.

Any line I’ve had on a FRER even as faint as that has lead to a pregnancy. One was a chemical (strong at 11dpo, disappeared 4 days later) and then developed to darker lines and confirmed pregnancies .

I can't see any lines but I hope I'm wrong

I do see lines but I'm not convinced they are positives rather than indents. The most convincing is the thin red line on the frer.
Don't worry about the digital one as they are super super sensitive so if you were only getting faint lines on frers then a digital was never going to show positive. I'd get a frer and test again in two days time.

My blood test is in the morning so hope I get my result the same day.

I can see it on the regular photo not the inverted one. Have you got another test to do tomorrow?

I had this last month, I was getting lines exactly like you are on the frer, in fact it's like looking at my tests! The lines were consistent on all the ones I took so I dont think they were indents. I took about 10! I took a clear blue as well, and the line came up extremely faint!

I got my first positive about 11/12dpo and continued to get them until I was 3 days late for af. Unfortunately though they never did get any darker, and at 4 days late, I started bleeding. I took another frer yesterday after 3 days of bleeding and there was no line, completely negative so in my case, the lines not getting any darker did mean I had a chemical pregnancy

@Horehound yes I have another but said I’d wait to use it on Saturday if I don’t get my blood results back by tomorrow evening.x

@Idontneedausername thank you for your response I’m so sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. I do think the same is happening to me, did you track your bbt? Mines still high. Also did you have any blood tests done?

Hi @MrsBirds I had the same last month too. I tested 2 days past when AF was due and my tests looked exactly like yours. Sadly AF came 2 days after that so ended up being 4 days late 😞. Its so cruel. Hopefully it isn't the case for you though, you're not out until AF shows!
I just got my BFP a few days ago. I haven't been tracking BBT but was tracking with OPKs and DTD every day in our fertile window (and a few days prior) - a lot - but it worked for us. Sending baby dust! 🌷

@MrsBirds I didnt track last cycle, I decided to have a relaxed month, although it turned out to be rather stressful anyway! I did have my bloods done, when I was 2 days late for AF but within 24 hours of it I had started bleeding and hadn't received my blood results by then! My blood results came back negative anyway, although after speaking through the results with the GP and the fact I had a negative frer after so many positives, he did say it was a chemical.

I really hope it's not the same for you, Its such a hard thing to go through

@Idontneedausername I know I can feel AF on her way I don’t cramp but I can feel cramps and had a little bit of spotting. I’m already speaking to my GP about fertility so will discuss with her and hope we get somewhere. Thanks for your support and help it’s really appreciated x

So just a morning a update I’ve started bleeding it’s not to heavy but the cramps are really bad. I know what’s happening because I don’t normally get cramps so for sure this one was a chemical pregnancy.

Sorry to hear that. They are very common. I had one in Feb and fell pregnant in march so there's every chance you will have a sticky bean next cycle :)

@MrsBirds I'm sorry to hear that. The cramping subsided today for me, after 4 days for bleeding. Im hoping for the best for you next cycle.
