Should I go for it this month?

I'll be 37 this year and DC1 is 10.5 months old. DH and I want another DC, not necessarily so soon but due to our age, we are aware that the clock is ticking.

I'm CD4 today and trying to make my mind up about whether to start TTC DC2 this month or wait a bit longer. There are so many pros and cons to having babies close together (if we're lucky enough to conceive quickly).

If your circumstances were as I've described, what would you do?

Yes, just get on with it I say, mine are 22 months apart and it's a great age gap!

Thanks @TokyoSushi DS has just found his feet and there's no stopping him which is exhausting! The thought of adding another to the mix or dealing with this stage whilst pregnant is daunting but I also think that whilst we're still in the midst of the chaos we may as well get it all out the way at once rather than getting through it and having to start again from scratch.

I'd say go for it! I was exactly the same as you, just turned 37 and wanted a baby when I was 38 so 2 ish years apart - he came when I just turned 40, so they're 3.5 years apart - I did get pregnant straight away but unfortunately lost that pregnancy, had a few more twists and turns but got there in the end - good luck

I would. I'm 8mo into trying for DC2 and no luck so far. Had conceived 2 babies in this time (1 MC) trying for DC1!

Thanks @larrythelizard & @custardbear I think we're going to start trying and hope that we are lucky enough to conceive within the next 6 months 🤞🏼

Ideally, I'd like to have DC2 before I turn 38 as I want to be out of the baby stage by the time I'm 40.

@larrythelizard I'm hoping that you get your BFP soon!
