I was trying for 8 months and now I'm pregnant. I was using the app flo to track ovulation, it was always spot on as to when my period would arrive but I think it was of with ovulation, I always tried to do it when it said high chance of getting pregnant, and when it said low chance after its predicted date of ovulation it would stop trying that month, however in the month I got pregnant I decided to keep trying even when it said low chance of pregnancy, and as I said I got pregnant that month

Thank you, i have an app to track ovulation and my periods and still try when it says low chance because you never know, but im just getting to the point now im overthinking stuff 🙈

It is only natural to overthink, I was at the point where I wanted to give up, but that's the only thing I did that was different to any other month. Same as you I had also started to take folic tablets. Oh and after sex I wouldn't move or get up out of bed until the morning

I know it hasnt been a long time but im getting to the point now where I want to give up! I dont move aswell after sex which Ive been told helps 🙈

I really swear by the purple (not pink) clearblue ovulation kit.

If you are going to use ovulation predictor id also recommend clear blue, I got cheap ones on amazon but they didn't work. Dont give up, honestly I know it's so disheartening but u just need to stick with it

Abbieghca · 27/04/2021 18:27

Thank you, i might buy some clearblue ones then,i currently use cheap one but thinking moneys no cost to conceive

Make sure to note everything in your period app... I used flo... how we on my fertile days I made sure me and OH were intimate. When things happen/finish put your hands in a fist and place them under your bottom(sorry a bit in-depth)

jade0881 · 27/04/2021 18:30

Bear in mind me and my OH have been trying for 6years and we recently found out that I'm expecting

You are still early so I wouldn't worry- we were trying almost a year before we conceived our little girl and it had started to worry me it wasn't going to happen. In the last couple of months before we were successful my partner gave up alcohol and started taking a multi vitamin for conception alongside my own which may have helped. We switched to sex every other day in possible weeks (a friend who had been through IVF had been told this was preferable to every day for quality sperm) and I made sure I had an orgasm every time/ after sex as I'd read it could help move the sperm where they needed to be. Wishing you the best of luck!

It’s also recommended to take vitamin d along with the folic acid. Best of luck, still early days but hope it happens soon for you!
