Too early to try again?

I had methotrexate injected on Feb 14th this year due to an ectopic pregnancy (this worked first time and levels went to 0 within a week). I was advised to wait 3 months before trying again which would take me to May 14th. I am due to ovulate in a week and I feel physically and mentally ready to try. I'm also taking folic acid. However this would be a week prior to the 3 month date given. I know I'm probably over thinking but has anyone had any experience of getting pregnant on or just before the 3 month time frame and is it safe? Thanks in advance 😊

What was the reason to wait 3 months? If it’s something to do with methotrexate or the procedure you had then you should listen to them

If it just because some people say wait 3 months after a miscarriage then there’s no logical reason to do this

@Iheartbed it's due to the methotrexate. It strips your body of folic acid which is why I've been taking a higher dose. It would only be 1 week( about 5/6 days actually) before the 3 months which is why I was wondering if it was safe to do so as it's so close to the timeframe. Thanks for your response 😊

I would really speak to a GP or specialist about this. I’m sure it’s fine but I know that methotrexate is a strong drug. Better to be safe about this OP

Methotrexate is a really strong drug, I'm sure it's used in cancer treatments. I wouldn't take the risk. Go with what they've advised. X

You’ve already been through a tough experience of ectopic, I personally wouldn’t risk trying again too early as it’s due to the Methotrexate. If by chance the drug cause a miscarriage you’d be understandable heartbroken. Wait the extra month OP. Better safe than sorry and these next 4 weeks will seem like nothing in end.
