Hi all,

So im a newbie here, TTC our first
I'm 35 and healthy with reg 28 day cycles. Decided to try OPK kits this month and had a darker line then control line for 7 days now 🤷🏼‍♀️ no idea when we are meant to DD now 🤣

I've read a few posts and have a negative pregnancy test, so doubting its that!

Question is, do we still keep DD or wait for the surge to end and give it one last go when OPK neg?

We DD on day before surge and now every other day since. I think he needs a break 🤣

Any ideas?

Typically you shouldn't get a high reading for more than a couple days....
Some women get a high reading over 2-3 days and some women get a surge and it's only one day so you gotta test couple times a day to catch it.
I am not sure why yours is 7 days... Maybe faulty test sticks? What are you using?
Either way, it's good that you guys DTD several times, maybe you will get your BFP!! 🤞

Thank you for the reply :) @VixFromThe6ix

They were testing with a faint line since using them, then went super dark and still are 🤷🏼‍♀️ think I will give up for this month and get different OTK next month!

If this continues, please consult your doctor or gynecologist because they should investigate what is making your LH levels rise.
Also, trying taking your basal temperature. With both opk and measuring your temperature every morning will help you better understand when or if you're ovulating.
Good luck, love!! Xx

It could mean your body was trying to ovulate but never did which would explain the repeated surges.

@Happinesscomesfromwithin

Thank you for the reply :)
I'm thinking the same now! Maybe I'm just not going to ovulate this month, usually know by CM and haven't had that this time!
Typical body works fine until we start TTC 🙄😂
Will track next month with temps as well to try get an idea and hopefully all goes back to normal

Have a lovely weekend xx

Hi OP what happened about this in the end?
I’m experiencing same thing. Did it all work out or did you investigate further?
Thanks
