TTC MAY

Hi Ladies,

I'm already out of April as currently on my period so wanted to start a thread for May.

Does anyone take any vitamins or prenatal tablets they recommend?

Just had my 4th Chem Pregnancy so willing to try anything...

Hoping for lots of sticky positives this month! xx

We're hopefully planning to TTC in May. I have to have a scan for some bladder issues but if everything comes back okay with that then we're going ahead

I'm almost 37 and have a 2 year old DS who took 11 cycles to conceive. I've recently been diagnosed with Endometriosis so I'm not expecting an easy ride this time round either but keeping hopeful!

I'm taking:

Seven Seas Trying for a Baby multivitamin
Iron (I'm anaemic anyway)
Ubiquinol (for egg health)
Methylfolate (my son was born with a minor issue linked to low folic acid and I don't absorb B12 or folic acid well so I'm going for the easier to metabolise form this time)

We'll also use Conceive Plus fertility lube and I'll use OPKs and chart my BBT again

Hi Ladies mind if I join ?

I'm CD 1 of my 3rd Month ttc baby number 1.

I take :
Conceive + Vitamins
A multivitamin and mineral
Omega 369
Iron
Evening Primrose (P-O)

And I've ordered some CoQ10 and Red Clover to try this month.

Chev2021 · 03/05/2021 11:44

I’d love to join this thread. I’m CD19, 5dpo.

Waiting and hoping.

Lebe14 · 03/05/2021 15:21

Hope you don’t mind me joining!

I’m on cycle 7 TTC 1st and currently 3 DPO, CD 18. Been taking seven seas trying for a baby since TTC and no luck so far…. Came off the mini pill a bit before TTC and had terrible migraines with aura every month - since I started taking seven seas I’ve not had one… so at least they seem to have helped with something Smile. Does anyone take anything else alongside these?!

Not feeling positive about getting a BFP this month as didn’t get to DTD at much as i would have liked! Fingers are tightly crossed for everyone else though x

Missmcmonkeymcbean · 03/05/2021 16:16

Would love to join too! CD2 on cycle 2 ttc #1. Got my hopes up on cycle one so need to not symptom spot going forward and realise that these things may take time!!

HardcoreParkour · 03/05/2021 20:41

Hi All,

I'm CD10 today and this will be cycle 1 of TTC #2. DS is almost 11 months. We conceived him in cycle 2 so hoping for (but not banking on) the same luck this time 🤞🏼

ReginaaPhalange · 03/05/2021 22:15

Hope you don't mind me joining! Currently cycle 7 of ttc for us! CD16 for me and my clear blue advanced stated I'm in my fertile window as I have my flashing smiley. I'm not going to be doing opks now as I feel I get stressed out knowing I have to dtd at a certain time.

Me and DH are just going to dtd regularly throughout the next 7 days and see what happens this time round.

My cycle varies from 29-32 day cycles and me ovulating closer towards CD20 is normal for me, but this time I won't know when I ovulated so I can't start testing early haha!

LovelyLion3 · 04/05/2021 07:02

I'm on cycle 3 of ttc and this month I'll be using CB opk. I've been drinking a cup of pomegranate juice because I read online that it can help. I am also gonna take Mucinex starting the day I get my first flashing smiley on the opk. Oh and I need to remember to take my prenatal vitamins!

At this point I'm willing to try anything except grapefruit juice. I just cannot tolerate the taste.

Is there anything else I can do? Maybe stand on my head for 15 minutes after dtd? Hahaha...

CityGirlintheCountry · 04/05/2021 11:47

I'm in cycle 2 of TTC for #1, O'ing tmr and 26 day cycle (very regular). Only taking Pregnacare Conception after coming off the Mirena

Fun fact: DP has been hilariously holding my legs up in the air after DTD and shouting "swim little f$$$ers!" Grin Even if no BFP this month, we're having heaps of fun trying, with lots of laughs

Zxr12 · 07/05/2021 17:08

I have been using the ovulation app to track but I don’t think it’s right . My af is always a couple of days either side of the predicted date.

With my first child I didn’t bother with any of this and it happened straight away.

Anyone else feel they are focusing on ovulation week more than rest of the month and the app might be wrong any way?

When is the best time to conceive I started af yesterday so will next weekend be good timing ? I’m not going to focus on the app to much next month

I hope you don’t mind me joining either. CD1, cycle 3 after an ectopic pregnancy late 2020 for baby #1. My cycles are pretty regular with a 12 day luteal phase.

I’m taking:
Iron (a bit anaemic)
Vitamin D
Folic acid
DHA
CoQ10

I’m going to try and ignore the apps if I can. I tend to ovulate between CD18-20 but it would be good to just have a bit of fun this month.

Best supplements to take while trying to conceive ?

CityGirlintheCountry · 24/05/2021 11:34

Huge surprise this weekend. Was at Sainsbury on Saturday which was the last day of my TWW, so jokingly said to DP that we should pick up a test. His jaw dropped, but we laughingly picked up a test. Went for the Sainsbury brand test (that's how much likely we thought a +ve result was). And hello, BFP!!! Shock I retook the test the next day, same result. Still in a daze (and not completely sure it's accurate, it WAS a Sainsburys test after all! Hmm)

polkadotpixie · 24/05/2021 12:32

Congratulations @CityGirlintheCountry! I'm only 3dpo so just waiting now really! I have a short luteal phase and AF is due on 31st May so not too long to wait

Zxr12 · 24/05/2021 13:15

Been offered the vaccine , what is everyone going to do that’s trying ttc

CityGirlintheCountry · 24/05/2021 13:57

@Zxr12 I got my invite a few weeks back, so decided on balance to go ahead with it. Wasn't preggo then, so didn't want to miss the chance to get the vaccine. Now that I am, DP and I are discussing what to do around dose#2

taytay2020 · 25/05/2021 12:45

@Zxr12 I have just booked my vaccine for what I think is comfortably within my next period (about 2.5 weeks' time). If I get a bfp a few days' before then I might reconsider, but I'm just going to have to wait and see how I feel if that happens. I wouldn't want to postpone it too long though, because I don't want to risk catching covid over the summer.

Lebe14 · 04/06/2021 17:15

@Zxr12 I got my vaccine a few days ago at 5DPO. I’ve been TTC since November so didn’t even think twice about it. I probably would have thought a bit more when I first started TTC as I thought it would happen quickly! x

toadstool32 · 04/06/2021 17:26

I've had my second vaccine so now feel happy to start ttc
