My period is between 1 and 2 weeks late (week beyond 28 days but my cycles are normally 24 days)... so not testing early!, and I just got this super faint line on a test...... if I am pregnant shouldn't it be much more obvious at this point?? Can you guys see what I see???

It is an obvious positive but for two weeks I would expect higher concentration on HCG (although everyone can be different! Not trying to scare) Could you try again tomorrow with FMU?

Have you tested at all this cycle before today?

Thanks girls. Tested again this morning. Even fainter line (test from different store).

Tested a couple times last week too but with cheap ones from amazon, nothing at all on those. Only occurred to me last night to try a slightly better test because I'm so late abs that's so unusual for me. No pregnancy symptoms.

We've been told were very unlikely to conceive due to male factor fertility issues so even a chemical pregnancy would be some what of a miracle. We're waiting to start IVF this summer.

If you’ve not had any bleeding I’d be wanting to rule out any problems like ectopic. It may very well be that you are just somebody who’s HCG levels are on the lower side of normal and this is a very healthy pregnancy so don’t give up hope. If I were you I would phone my GP this morning and request a blood test to see if that HCG is at a viable level, they normally repeat the tests after 48 hours to check that it is doubling.

That does look like a line. Don't compare darkness on different brands as they are different sensitivities and have different levels of dye. Have you tried an frer?

Well, it seems that you definitely are or have been pregnant with 2 positive tests but the faint lines do suggest low hcg. Hopefully you have ovulated late and it will increase but you will really need to wait and see or get blood tests to see what is happening. Worth speaking to your doctors to see if they can help? Just seeing a slightly positive test after trying so long has me shocked. Just that it is... possible. Even if this does look pretty unlikely to be a proper pregnancy. Not sure how to focus on work today! Will test again tonight.

N.b. if it is a chemical, does anyone have any idea when I could expect my period? Because whatever this is, it has properly messed up my cycle.
