Talk to me about evap lines

Apologies if this isn’t the right place as I’m not TTC. However i presumed this would be the best place to ask about this.

Does this look like an evap line? Came up after the time limit but not by that much.

Background is - I did one of these tests SIX weeks ago and have just found it in the cupboard. It has an identical line to the pic I’ve attached- which I’ve done today because I panicked thinking I could actually see a line on the test from 6 weeks ago.

I’m taking the mini pill - I only did a test six weeks ago because I took one out of date pill on one day by mistake - and then I took the MAP as well just in case the out of date pill was dodgy.

So bearing all the above in mind, plus the fact that if i was pregnant, I’d be about ten weeks by now- surely this is a evap line? No?

I can’t really see a line and the test looks a bit damaged

I think the line you're seeing is from where the test is damaged. I'm sorry, I don't think there's a line.

I mainly used these cheapo tests during my childbearing days, especially for 3rd and 4th.
In my experience of using lots of tests in that time, positive shows up instantly as the pee is soaking through - sometimes dark, sometimes light, but always instantly.
Once the time is up you must disregard it otherwise this evaporation line confusion begins

Not meaning to sound uppity or anything, just my reasonably extensive experience Smile
