Hello ladies, so over the past week I have had 4 BFP, 1 asda and 3 clear blue. Felt utter rubbish as I’d expect to, I had 1 test left so this morning for nothing other than not wasting it I did it, and it’s shown negative now I’m in work all confused, I wish I’d never done it but now I’m panicking xx

Hi lovely, how many dpo are you and when is af due?

I would highly recommend getting a First Response test. They seem pretty spot on. I am not keen on blue dye tests personally (had a false positive with a sainsbury's one just last week. Damn evap lines!!)

Not familiar with Asda tests...are they pink or blue dyes?

XxRhiXx · 21/04/2021 14:25

AF was due a week ago, since the day before due i have had positives - usually I’d only do the 2 if bought in same packet however I had a few in so that’s why I’ve done them all. Wish I’d not done the one this morning though x

These are 3 of the 4 ( the asda one was the first one I did last week ) xx

@XxRhiXx

Hello,

This happened to me I had 8 positive tests, I done so many as I couldn't believe I was. Then a week later the line was much lighter and I started bleeding very heavily and sadly had a chemical.
It's not to say this is happening to you, but this was my experience of it. I would suggest contacting your doctor as they will able to confirm for you. Fingers crossed for you ❤️🤞🏻

Gnashaloulou · 21/04/2021 14:55

If your af is over a week late I would expect to see quite a strong positive line but then I guess it depends on when you ovulated and I have read a few ladies on here saying it was a good week or so after their missed af before they got a sniff of a positive!

I agree with @monkeyy97 and see if you can get your GP to confirm it for you. Try not to worry (easier said than done I know!!) If it was me I would nip out and get a FRER for reassurance/confirmation either way but definitely book a GP appointment xx

sqirrelfriends · 21/04/2021 15:06

It could be a bad test, or your urine might have been less concentrated. I would try a FRER, they're so much better than clearblue (IMO).

I had a similar thing happen to me that did unfortunately end up being a chemical pregnancy. It really knocked me, especially as we had been trying for a baby for so long already. Luckily I got pregnant with DS the next month.

XxRhiXx · 21/04/2021 15:12

I am over a week late now, the first asda one was the first positive I got and that was day before AF then the others have been Sunday then Monday. X
I rang the drs but they said I just have to book with midwife x

@XxRhiXx could you grab a FRER and test with that?

XxRhiXx · 21/04/2021 15:25

I’m a nurse and literally in work now from 7am and don’t get home till gone 10pm, I’m just going to wait it out. I’m not stressing myself about it hahaha, I’ve only ever taken a test and gone drs before I’ve never thought oh I’ll wait a week and do another. X

@XxRhiXx that sounds like a plan! Good luck, and keep us posted! xx

XxRhiXx · 21/04/2021 15:37

I just wanted to see if others had a similar experience and what the outcome was. X

XxRhiXx · 21/04/2021 15:38

Ah I’m sorry to hear that, how long after the positives did you bleed ? Xx

OP posts:
firsttimemummy321 · 21/04/2021 15:45

Sorry you're going through this! I hope you have a good outcome but for me I had a week of positive tests (faint) then got lighter than bled then the tests were negative. Just had one the other way around bled then had positive that's now negative. Sending hugs

XxRhiXx · 21/04/2021 15:49

Aw hun it’s so frustrating isn’t it. Can I ask how long it took for you to bleed from the first positive, if it’s not meant to be then it’s not but I just want AF to show her ugly face and get it out of the way hahahaha x

firsttimemummy321 · 21/04/2021 17:21

The first I had I think positives for a week and a half before the bleed. Hopefully you have an answer soon 🤞🏻

XxRhiXx · 21/04/2021 17:26

Well I’ve just had midwife on the phone so I’m guessing either way I’ll know something soon xx

firsttimemummy321 · 21/04/2021 19:31

Ah that's good ours doesn't see or speak to us til the 8 week app. What did they say? 🤞🏻

Mrsmujic · 21/04/2021 22:23

@@XxRhiXx sorry you are stuck with the guessing game! It's so annoying just not being certain. I would say those lines are pretty faint, but like others have said sometimes they do pick up. I myself had pretty dark first response positive lines last cycle, then I got 1-2weeks digital, I did a CB like the one on your picture which was really faint. I also got really faint cheapy tests. Unfortunately it was a chemical. I was exactly a week late but have longer cycles (36) so the bleed began day 43. Really wishing you all the best. Keep us updated X

XxRhiXx · 22/04/2021 07:08

Ah my cycles are usually only 24-25 days and I’m day 34 now so who knows. I think I’m just going to relax and stop over thinking everything, if I bleed and loose then so be it, it wasn’t meant to be this time but if not then great haha xxx
