Hi, I just wondered whether anyone has any experience of how long it takes to get started on Clomid after an appointment with the consultant? We’ve got an appointment finally in May and she had said in a previous appt if my progesterone was low she would start us on it. I didn’t know if you had to wait for any funding like you do with IVF or whether you can start straightaway?

It's probably 18 years ago now but I was given a prescription for 6 months of clomid at my second fertility appointment and then told when to start it and when to request an ultrasound (had a scan during my first cycle).

I was given 6 months worth back in 2019. It was my second appointment, first one was with a nurse and tests were organized, then had a consultant go through results and diagnosis and she was the one who prescribed the clomid

@elsaesmeralda @Goodtohear thank you for replying both. That sounds like you got started pretty much straight away then. This will be our second appointment so fingers crossed we can start soon!
