Late period, negative tests?

My period was due yesterday, didn’t arrive, and I’ve had several BFNs without so much as a hint of a line, including one this morning. My periods are pretty regular, 30 day cycles. If they vary it tends to be shorter, I haven’t had a longer cycle since before I was pregnant with DD (who is nearly 2).
I got a positive OPK 16 days ago, so ovulated 14/15 days ago?

Am I definitely out this month? I’m really trying not to let the late period get my hopes up, surely the tests would at least be a faint positive by now if I was pregnant.

Obviously I know no one can tell me for sure, I’m just frustrated and no one know we’re TTC so there’s no one else to ask!

@KFleming I didn't want to not answer. Its soooo frustrating isn't it! A number of us were in the same boat a couple of months ago, and all of us on the thread got our periods eventually. Mine was two weeks late, normally regular. Obviously between us I think we spent a small fortune on pregnancy tests 😂 Hopefully its not the case for you but just wanted to give my experience

There are so many reasons why your period might be late... Stress is one of them. I do believe your tests would be positive by now, love. Brace for the chance this month is out, but prepare that in a couple weeks you can try again.
We are all playing the tressful game of waiting... And it's so hard not to get pressed over it.
My fingers crossed for you to get a BFP next cycle if this one is out. ❤️

Yeah so do I. It’s still not here and now I just want it to come so we can get into the next cycle!

Is it likely that, despite the positive OPK, something prevented the actual ovulation, so maybe that happened later, delaying my period? Or can periods be delayed even if you did actually ovulate - I’m assuming that’s less likely?

I didnt get a positive result until I was 6 days late but I've a 21 day cycle , so that could make a difference

I was getting negative tests, last one on day was due on. I didn't test for a few days after that as I thought I was out and couldn't face anymore. 4 days later and still no period, so I tested again and faint positive. My dating scan put me back a few days compared to LMP so I must have ovulated later and was initially testing to early. So you might not be out yet!
