Hi! I am having some weird symptoms lately (darkening nipples, swollen Montgomery glands, mood swings, loss of appetite, dizziness, etc). I started the patch back in January (I’ve been on it before but took a break for a few months). The patch screwed up my hormones a little the first month i think, but everything has been normal since then pretty much. I have never noticed any PMS symptoms really besides slight cramping and maybe some mood swings, and bigger breasts. I started a higher dosage of my Wellbutrin around the time this started happening (basically last Monday) and I’m also on 20mg of lexapro. Havent really noticed any symptoms from lexapro or Wellbutrin.
I would say I have safe sex with my partner... I’m on the patch and he pulls out. How ever we can go many rounds without cleaning anything/peeing/etc (tmi i know), so there could be some leftover semen? I’ve heard that that is rare but I’ve also heard it’s a real thing. There’s also been times where I think semen may have trickled down into my vagina.
I had a miscarriage a few years ago (without knowing I was pregnant until after) so any pregnancy scares are very triggering and I over analyze my symptoms sometimes i think because I’d rather over think than not pay attention to my body, and make mistakes that may have caused the miscarriage.
I find it highly unlikely I am pregnant, considering my period is in the next few days, I’ve taken early pregnancy tests and gotten negatives, i use my patch correctly, he seems to pull out in time.
My concern is that I’ve heard antidepressants/anxiety meds can lessen the effectiveness of birth control depending on the woman.
The other theory is that the Wellbutrin increase could’ve messed up my hormones really fast.
I don’t know a lot about ovulation but my last period started the 21 of March, lasted until the 25th when i put on a new patch. I took the patch off last night because I was going to have to take it off for my “off week” today to get my period in the next couple days, however it was falling off and so i just ripped it off.
I’ve had so many symptoms and nothing makes sense. It’s so frustrating and heartbreaking every time. I’m not looking to conceive but I wouldn’t be upset at all if I did.
Okay, final thing, two of my first response early results has a jagged line for the one pink line on the right... Is this a valid test? I can’t find any pictures of FRER with this jagged line. I don’t know why it looks like that. It came like that in the time frame
