Ovulation window done for this month?

Hi there,

Just a quick one.. I had my first smiley face using clear blue on 14th afternoon, DTD that evening a couple of times, had another smiley face 15th as well as strong lines on cheaper opk. Today my lines are a lot lighter and no smiley. Does this mean my fertile window is done for this month with a empty circle or could the egg still be waiting around even with no strong line or smiley? Just wondering if it will be worth it dtd tonight or not worry about it. Thanks X

Hello, I'm interested to hear what others say about this, but when I get circle I stop DTD. Normally cause I can't be bothered anymore by that point 😂

Me too 😂 Sounds terrible but after 2 children and 11 years...

I mostly want to know as we only managed it on the first night I got a smiley. I never tracked with my first two now I know how hard it is! X

Well once you get a positive opk which means you have had a lh surge the egg should be released anywhere between straight after and up to 72 hrs later with an average being more about 24 hrs later so even after a positive on a opk your fertile window can still be stretched over a few days. However as sperm can last up to 5 days this helps with that matter. Really if your using clear blue opks you should dtd at least every other day once you get a smiley face and carry this on for several days after the smiley face. If you use the ones where you get a flashing face and then a static smiley face you need to dtd every other night whilst it's flashing and then once it turns static you should probably do it that night and the night after to be covered. X
