Best early detection pregnancy tests?

Currently 5 DPO and those thoughts are creeping in about testing, but I'm trying to stay strong and at least wait till 8 DPO

But I am just wanting some advice on which brands are best for early detection? I know FRER are on the top of most people's lists but just wondering of there are any alternatives (cheaper ideally) that are our there and almost as reliable?

Help please!!! Lol :)

This thread may be a little out of date now, but if you've landed here looking for recommendations for pregnancy tests, we've recently updated our guide to the best pregnancy tests currently available, including several options designed for early detection. All options have been tried and tested by Mumsnet users as well as recommended by maternity experts.
Hope it's of some use!

Amazon cheapies every time. Got my bfp at 9dpo. My bfp is now 7 months old. I also got a bfp on them very early in my first pregnancy, which I miscarried.

First response early response (often called FRER) are the most reliable. I test with the amazon cheapies and if I have a hint of a line or to confirm a negative sometimes I'll do a FRER. I trust them.

Same as @Literaryseed always get a faint line with an Amazon cheapie at 10dpo and then I confirm with a FRER.
